Accies are probably one of the few clubs who don't need to sign players with so many of last season's squad still with the club. The club has realised the scatter gun approach hasn't worked and signings of the quality of Gogic, Skondras and Templeton show they have learnt to be patient and choose a few quality players. The club will no doubt have players on trial and players they have offered contracts to. The problem for Accies is most players will see them as a laser resort and will be trying to get better deals elsewhere. The club won't want the public knowing who they are looking at as it will alert other clubs who will seize the opportunity to steal in and sign them on bigger wages. A goalkeeper is possible, a striker is a must. As far as Brophy is concerned he seems to be wait until the last minute to sign each season. The rest of the squad is pretty much in tact. Mathews has gone but we signed Woods afterwards so had two quality keepers all season with Jamieson and the young boy Marshall as cover. Skondras was cover while Darren Lyon was out injured and D'Acol was effectively replaced by Templeton towards end of last season. We also added Gogic toward the end of last season who has been excellent. I am sure the club will sign 2 or 3 players but not expecting many or them to be signed soon more likely in August.

Agree EKAccies, wasn't it similar last year with us signing guys after we had them abroad with the squad for pre season training? Also twitter pics show Crawford is out with the squad. If we keep him and add a striker and a few defenders we should be fine, esp if the young uns like Doherty, McMann and Lyon kick on from last year. Lots of churn at other clubs like the well and killie and Ross county have lost a few including their talisman striker. Our relative stability could be a plus early in the season ????

Same mistakes as last year unprofessional pre season no signings until the enivitable league cup fiasco flipent twitter responses from the club regarding signings. There are a lot of things a small club like Hamilton can do nothing about but this is inexcusable

Ham ad tweeted karim rossi and Tim Linthorst are on trial. Both have appalling wiki records as is to be expected.

Can't judge them on Wiki pages. It's all about the YouTube video...

Have you seen it? Check out Rossi's twitter. He looks appalling and that's his best bits.  He even thinks it's a "great job" they've done. At least Richard Roy's had him belting one in from 30 yards, Rossi's best is a disallowed goal! Tim Linthorst has made a whopping 19 appearances in the Dutch second tier, if his wiki is accurate.

So his highlights seem to be if him falling over a lot and losing the ball. Do we actually have any scouts or do we just take whoever gets offered to us? It's a fucking shambles. The board can spout their pish about budgets and shopping trolleys but really we should be looking at the leagues below us and non league players in England.

Sick to death of these absolute diddies who arrive, play one game then spent the rest of the season fannying around The Palace or whatever its called now. The clubs an absolute joke.
