Much needed investment boost for the forgotten and overlooked part of the country.

So forgotten and overlooked that they already get more funding per head of population than the rest of the UK.

They would have been told where to get to.

You think?

Lynton Crosby was advising Theresa to allow a Scottish independence referendum before the Brexit deal is finalised, on the basis that two lots of uncertainty would produce a sure no vote.

If the SNP were the only available option to the Tories they would take it rather than allowing Labour to govern.

Regardless of what deal supported the Tories you'd all be outraged. Wouldn't matter one bit what price they'd extracted for it.

Much needed investment boost for the forgotten and overlooked part of the country. Fair play to the DUP for making a great deal for all the people of Northern Ireland.

There was no negotiation. It was a blatant mugging.
The DUP have ripped Tory arse asunder.

Nope.
We were told for the duration of the election there was no money tree. Theresa May even talked down to a nurse on live TV about the money tree.
Two weeks later low and behold,a money tree.

She also said there would be no election before 2020.

They make it up as they go along.

Absolute horse shit. The Conservatives are the most strongly Unionist of the main parties so will always side with a Unionist Party such as the DUP over Nationalists such as the SNP. The Tory membership down South view the SNP as borderline extremists.

We should be happy. It's basically yet another massive own goal by the Tories which will see their increasingly marginalised supporters up here backed into a corner. The average English voter has not got the slightest clue what the DUP are all about. Sadly, but thankfully, up here we do. Let the whole thing unravel and bring on IndyRef 2...

You missed the "If the SNP were the only available option" bit then...

No surprise that the DUP have taken the Tories for all they are worth. Being turned over by corrupt Arlene, the mighty Dodds and Jeffrey the Midget really is a minter for the Tories and horrendous given the negotiations they will face over the next year.

It's like limbering up for a Champions League tie with Real Madrid by having your first choice team 0-3 down at half time to Cumbernauld Colts.

The Tories will be gone by Christmas so the DUP are quite within their rights to shake the magic money tree whilst they have first dibs on it. People getting wobble-jowled about the ehtics and morality of the deal clearly haven't been paying attention to how politics works.

This parliament will last five years. It has to. The Tories and DUP both know an early election means Corbyn will be PM, something both parties deeply oppose, so another election is out the question. The only question is will May hold on for the term or will there be a Tory leadership contest with the winner automatically becoming PM

The £1.5 Billion could the thing that forces a deal to get Stormont going again. None of the other parties will want a DUP/Tory coalition to have their grubby mitts in sole control over it.

Could the SNP have offered a coalition deal for a straight Indy vote?

The SNP need to soften on the anti-right position they've taken up.

You'll hate to know that I have long criticised the SNP for failing to engage constructively with Westminster and The Tory Govt

Imagine the funds and the benefits it could have secured for Scotland had it 'played the game'.

Far from Stronger For Scotland, the SNP have wasted the past 10 years and totally underplayed what was a very strong hand.....

 Ideology Uber Alles !

Scotland Uber Alles !

Very Nationalistic ........

This came from the money bush not the money tree.

The DUP have played a blinder......The SNP should be embarrassed that even when they had 56 MP's they were to dogmatic and intransigent to work with Westminster and secure something similar for Scotland.....

Get a grip, there was nothing on offer.

The SNP were blanked ten minutes after the 2015 election.
