Junior football, what is the future?

Should be interesting next season on the EoS forum when the penny drops most teams will be stuck there for years to come and the dreams of rich rewards are just that, dreams.
Stuck in what way? They will be playing in a competitive league (The poorer EoSL clubs finding their level at tier 7) against teams from the same geographic area as now but with a chance to get into the Lowland League and will have regular fixtures, cup competitions, and - if they get licensed - the Big Scottish Cup. Sounds like they'd be in a similar, arguably better, position than if they'd stayed in the East Super League.

Well kelty jump now looks to have been perfection. Won 4-0 away today in the 1st leg playoff for the lowland place.

Genuinely delighted for them but no doubt the usual suspects will be on later to use it as another "The Juniors are shite" stick

So what is happening about a WoSL ? How, who and when....springs to mind.

Don't see it happening this next season (2018-19). Sorting out promotion/relegation issues with the LL/SoS/EoS would be too difficult and too many clubs are going to wait to see what the SJFA & SFA discussions will bring.

With Dundonald & Clydebank openly deferring applications to the EoS until next year in order to sort out licencing issues, it shows that clubs within the Juniors can get into shape for licencing with the resources they already have available to themselves.

By the end of this year, or early next, and discussions amongst the SJFA & SFA have lead to nothing concrete. I imagine all the clubs with an interest in the benefits of licencing will seek each other out and start planning things as a collective in co-ordination with the SFA/Senior leagues for the 2019-20 season. The seeking each other out part might well already be happening behind the scenes right now.

Fairweather Fan.

Its not that hard to fix out religation promotion if the wosfl.started for the new season.the e.o.s have offered to get it started.they just need 12 teams to get started they dont just have to be junior. Keltys play off today shows that the pyramid does work once the criteria has been met.and yes they will find the lowland harder but again they can improve

Is it a months wages for every year of service you get in most redundancies just now? Just if TJ was to go would he not be on to a pretty decent package? I’d be going if I was him!

And why would he be made redundant or is that just wishful thinking on your part.

Because hes inept? And within a pyramid there could be a chance to reduce office bearers and get rid of people like TJ?

In your opinion.

So does the LL EOSL and SPFL operate without secretaries or office bearers then?

The Lowland League and East of Scotland League have the same Secretary, not employed full time or with an office to the best of my knowledge.

If you look at it rationally the SFA deal with all player registrations for these leagues, they also deal with all disciplinary issues. There of course is no re-instatement to deal with either. Everything else such as fixture planning is dealt with by the League Boards themselves. There is the East of Scotland FA who run most cups but the board membership is very similar to the League board, and no full-time employees.

So where do the SJFA and specifically TJ fit into this if they entered the Pyramid as a body? what would he actually have to do to justify a full-time position and an office at Hampden? The fact is there is no reason for the SJFA to continue to exist if ALL Junior clubs enter the Pyramid.

If on the other hand some clubs go and some clubs wish to remain, then the SJFA as a body continues as is now with remaining clubs, although again would it need a full time position in that scenario?

No but within a unified structure we don’t need all the TJ’s and SR’s, why should a pyramid be run by people who’ve run their association into the ground?
You say in my opinion im aware of enough of TJ’s antics and underhandedness to know the game is better off without him.
