Junior football, what is the future?

21st century in your opinion .
You guys are like the third reich. Movement should be as a result of sporting achievement and suitable ground standards . Linlithgow rose and auchinleck are good examples yet both these clubs choose to stay in the past according to your opinion . Strange indeed that almost all the clubs leaving don't mention sporting achievement. Strange indeed ..

Another Nazi comparison headsgone from the no camp here.
Its cringey to think that Daleboy is the voice of his team isn’t it?

The SJFA don’t want the pyramid, the scaremongering going on at Junior meetings to other clubs are actually making clubs in the East move, it’s obvious they have no grasp or vision for the future. They had Les Donaldson from Linlithgow Rose speak at a meeting warning clubs off getting a licence, a guy pivotal in Linlithgow getting theirs which has let them improve their facilities, I mean really!!! Costs too much, too many hoops, need this need that, utter madness.

..and yet clubs like Camelon are planning for facilities and structures to be in place that will take them beyond the entry level licence.

2 off the clubs that are or have joined the EOS have the capability off competing in the lowland league ( kelty and bonnyrigg) the rest will simply drift around the yet unknown EOS leagues.

I thought the Juniors were so powerful that they are entitled to join the Pyramid at Tier 5.  There are half a dozen Super League teams moving over. Are you saying only Bonnyrigg are good enough to move up?

I don't know Les Donaldson, but I wonder if he will change his tune if/when the SFA/member clubs withdraw the Scottish Cup entry rights to Linlithgow Rose, and the 4 other clubs which currently hold a licence (and Cup rights) under the 'old rules' ? This can't happen yet, because there is no pyramid (below 5th tier) in the North, nor in the West pending a WoSL, but in my view, it will happen in the not too distant future, when the pyramid is extended and open to them all to join.

It is only my opinion, and of course, I may be proved wrong.

Alternatively, the already strong West Juniors, enhanced by Bo’ness and Linlithgow can make an even stronger case for forming the tier 5 Lowland West in 2019-20 or 2020-21.

Its an argument that's done wonders for them in the past

The constant movement for closing applications date to the EOS should be subject to SFA investigation.

The EoS is one of the faces of the SFA, the clubs joining the EoS will likely be pursuing membership to the SFA. How exactly do you expect this investigation to go?

You're not in the pyramid system so your complaints about how it's run can be filed immediately in the bin where they belong.

People outside the pyramid are not allowed to have an opinion what a load of nonsense.

Not in the 'we're against this' stance as you claimed for Armadale or whatever no-mark outfit we're dealing with here, no.  The clubs in the pyramid and the EoS clubs in particular decide who gets into their league and how; your strongly worded objections and foot-stomping count for absolutely nothing.

So into the bin they go.

What do you think the SJFA is other than the sum of its clubs? . If the clubs want it they will push for it The west clubs (including it would seem the top  West Lothian clubs) are stronger as a whole than the current Lowland clubs which will only be enhanced relative to the west by Bonnyrigg from the new crop entering the EoS.  Commonsense dictates the pyramid will only make sense when the effectively Lowland East and South  league has a counterpart  West league.  Just as there is no connection between the HL and LL there need not be any connection between the LL which serves the east and and new tier 5 SJFA Superleague serving the West.

:lol: They aren't making a strong case for tier 6 at the moment let alone tier 5.

But they will. We can all see the way the wind is blowing.  The East juniors have done an enormous volte face in the last 12 months and it will be the west's turn in the next 12 months.  The clubs will determine their direction of travel in the next year, not this ethereal SJFA that people are so keen to point a finger at.The east has its tier 5 league and the west clubs, superior as a whole to the east tier 5 clubs have an incontrovertible case for entry into the pyramid at tier 5.

I can understand why the east clubs don't fancy the prospect.

Never happen, the sjfa will not take tier 5 the wheels are already in motion for an independent wosl outside the sjfa at a level beyond the ‘work’ of the sjfa.

The Lowland area has a tier 5 league.

The East has a Tier 6 league and the West has an impractical one at the moment.

There is no case for a bunch of new clubs to the pyramid entering a league at Tier 5, but there is at Tier 6.

Why would it have to be an “SJFA” Superleague serving the West?

Why not the SJFA in the West region come in under the SFA at tier 6 following its rules, discipline procedures and being able to be Licenced? Why the need to complicate things by clinging onto a grade that is clearly in decline (not clubs may I add) due to a number of issues.

The easy way to do this is have the SJFA come into the structure as 1 where it doesn’t become messy.

No. Many of the east juniors which have joined the EOS are capable of moving up because the EOS is so weak and because there are still many relatively poor teams in the LL. Only Bonnyrigg (and possibly LTHV) will enhance the LL relative to the west (which might well include the better West Lothian clubs).  The LL at the moment has 4 teams which would match the best in the west - potentially 6 if you add Bonnyrigg and LTHV.

edit - forgot Kelty - make that 5/7

The Lowland League is an east and south league. There is no west league at tier 5.  Commonsense dictates there should be two leagues at tier 5 serving the central belt and south to balance the Highland league which serves a much smaller population. It is ridiculous to suggest the central belt and south should only have one tier 5 league.

Four of the clubs joining the EOS finished below Armadale this season. We are negative towards a system that allows clubs who have not earned the right to be introduced to tier 6 of the pyramid. While admitting the SJFA have mismanaged the situation the SFA has made a farce of the Pyramid system.

Imagine joining a queue to get entry to a Scotland game. There are five people ahead of you in the queue and the steward says ‘ sorry pal, you’ve no been to many games, you have to stand there for an hour or so until at least another couple of hundred people get in’. That would be nonsense. Different if you were trying to ‘cut in’ to a queue that was already there or a mate asked you to come and step in as he’s kept up a place, but that’s not what these clubs are doing.

Today’s date is May 26th 2018. The absolute bottom rung of the pyramid at this stage on this day in time is tier 6. There is no tier 7 or 8 or 9. As such, any team who chooses to join the pyramid HAS to join at tier 6 ( at the moment). Therefore, no one has the right to say that any team joining the pyramid shouldn’t be allowed in at tier 6.

It doesn't have to be anything. But the structure is already there for the SJFA to administer a west league at tier 5, and controlling the league according to tier 5 requirements.  The complication would be to create a new league and structure.  Why are you so keen on a group of clubs which is superior to the group of clubs currently at tier 5 having to enter at tier 6?

Soon as that mans trooped out to support anything, I’m immediately inclined to think the other options better
