Greenlantern
Celtic should go in with a second bid of 1.5m and a signed dvd of Scott Brown's best goals.

senorsoupe
In the modern world of "journalism", Kieran Tierney to Everton is somewhere between a bid being rejected to being a done deal with personal terms agreed depending on which media outlet you believe.

Drew Brees
Celtic have joined the race to sign Rangers target Harry Wilson - according to reports. Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard has been linked with a swoop for the Liverpool youngster but could now face competition from across the city. The highly-rated winger has a host of suitors competing for his signature and talkSPORT say Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is a big admirer. Gerrard knows Wilson well from his time as Liverpool U18 boss and could yet raid the Melwood academy again, having already brought Ovie Ejaria to Rangers on a season-long loan. however, his hopes could be scuppered by his old Anfield boss who has admitted he requires re-enforcements to freshen up his side this summer. Celtic could look to fill the void left behind by Patrick Roberts' departure by signing a player who scored seven goals in just 13 appearances for Hull City last term. Reports in England indicated on Monday that the Tigers also retain an interest in bringing the 21-year-old Welshman back to the club.

Celtic only offered us 350k but loaned him back. Celtic could have easily afforded the extra 150k and loaned him back anyway. To put that into context, the Celtic shop at Glasgow Airport makes 500k a year on its own.Sadly its the way the food chain works in Football now. Burnley can dwarf the old firm in transfer fees and wages.

Don't see many Celtic fans moaning about the fees we get. 13 minutes ago, sergie's no1 fan said: Forrest offered us 500k for Morgan but would'nt loan him back to us. We basically paid a bit more than the development fee that we would have had to have paid then loaned him back wage free. W basically e paid slightly above the going rate to secure him earlier on. I'm not sure what you mean about just gifting 150 grand for the sake of it if that's what you are suggesting.

Worked out well for all parties anyway.Every club has to look after itself. Celtic are the best at it in this country.

Especially considering that most of them were from before the day the transfer world went mental (the day Neymar signed for PSG), you have seen hyperinflation in the transfer market since then, hence why Virgil Van Dijk was a 75M player in January 2018 but would have been a 40M player in January 2017
Guest
For what it's worth, I don't think Celtic should accept anything less than £35 million plus a 20% sell on clause for Tierney . 1. Celtic don't need the money. 2. It's a sellers market as there's a dearth of talent out there at the moment. 3. He's on a 6 year deal. 4. He's proven at both European and International leve land also has great experience for one so young. 5. He has a great temperament and attitude both on and off the park (by all reports). 6. There's dumplings in England going for £30 million+ who couldn't lace Tierneys boots. Scottish clubs in general need to send the English a message that their days of coming up here and taking who they want for peanuts are finished. Let's be honest, if James Maddison is worth £24 million, then they really have completely lost the plot..................
