But what did he tell them to let him leave is the question

Doesnt matter he was allowed to leave for paying a grand. Years ago Medda let Mick McCann go during the season and they thought  he was going to Annbank and he went to the Talbot for nothing ,,,,so what imo

If Pollok gave McGregor the money to buy himself a 'free' would there be a reason for waiting 17 days to register him? Fairplay he couldn't take part in the Sectional games perhaps but there have been two losses in the league in that time. Or is it because Lok sold Craig Buchanan to Irvine Meadow last night and could perhaps afford to sign a new player..? Get Mulder and Scully on the case.

Ryan McGregor has left the club following his request to buy out the remainder of his contract.
The club could not give Ryan the guarantees that he was looking for, and as such both parties mutually agreed that Ryan would leave the club.
Arthurlie Football Club would like to wish Ryan all the best in his future endeavours, and thank him for his service to the club.

Was wondering this. Obviously McGregor played against us in the group stage but is he eleigible for the Renfrew game? I know he'd be cuptied in all other cups but the sectional has some strange rules.

The groups are played under 'league' rules and the KO rounds under 'cup' rules. He is therefore available (as I interpret it...) having doublechecked. Unless of course it means that you can't be cup-tied until the KO rounds and can't play for a second team at that stage.

"Sectional League Cup Rules

1.All games in the Sectional stages will be run under League rules. All games after the sectional stages will be run under Cup Competition Rules and only players at this stage will be considered to be "cup tied"."

Not this year's book but the rules don't get revised too often! p10
