If he is going, the clubs will have to agree on a timescale. Ayr will have to put something in place for the announcement. 
Whyte and McGeady in the interim, more likely the other way round, Whyte doesn’t want the job so it would be McGeadys to lose. 
Or maybe they have a name lined up, McCall, Dodds, Davidson…..

Or it could all be total speculation and Wednesday announce some English jobbing manager to take over

The maximum patter option for the club is to have David White doing the press conference regardless of what is going on and not even mention the Wednesday job. Basically so they can watch us all lose our minds.
