Guys Iv heard a rumour a new junior team is being formed in bo’ness for next season
Not by bo’ness united but I’m told it’s linked to the existing pathway
Anyone heard this and thoughts if true
There's a story been doing the rounds for a few weeks that players at a local amateur side have been told that from next season they will be known as Bo'ness Juniors and be playing at the 3G Newtown Park in the East Region juniors.

So an amateur team is changing their name and applying to join a junior league, which is apparently  going senior next season. Makes complete sense if you're from Bo'ness.

Fantastic idea. Chance to develop home grown talent through the pathway. Be great to see Bo’ness lads involved in the senior team and the opportunity to watch football at Newtown every week.

Who knows. Other clubs may follow and we can see local derbies more regularly.

Linlithgow Amateurs?

They were well linked with Bo'ness previously and could be a natural step for them.

Doubt if they will be playing on any 3G park at Newtown next season.

So given the EOS and Juniors both play on a Saturday afternoon how’s that going to work? Alternate weekends at Newtown is never going to work given the track record of the Junior association and their inability to properly schedule fixtures.

I’m sure there would need to be agreement over fixture rescheduling by the Junior Association to accommodate the senior team who would have the priority? EoS have the season fixtures published. Maybe any home drawn cup games would require the Juniors to move to a Friday night / switch tie / Saturday evening ko?

Staggered kick offs - the same as other teams without a home of their own.

I would hope all clubs involved will have or working to an understanding so it runs smoothly as possible when new pitch down. Remember newtown will have floodlights in place so kick offs can be worked out for all

but then again it’s Bo’ness and BU Committee are not best at talking
