bc57
Lanark 2 Muirkirk 0 Well deserved but hard fought victory against a good team. First half penalty confidently struck by Lewis Hill and then a beautiful chipped shot from outside the box by schoolboy sub Jordan Fraser sealed us the points. Muirkirk tried to play some good football in the first half and had their chances. Impressed with their number 4 5 games to go and still very much in our own hands. Stormrelic
Thorniewood 1 Carluke 4 Great result for Carluke in what was a very hard fought game on quite a heavy pitch , Carluke scored first from the penalty spot by Weir before Thorniewood pulled it level part way into the second half but Carluke dug in & worked hard & got two good goals from Lafferty & Larkin before Kane scored at the end from a very tight angle to give Carluke all 3 vital points in the chase for promotion . Hong Kong Phooey
The Gow go up after a hard fought 5.4 victory at Newmains. The Gow made it hard for themselves with 2 men getting sent off. Well deserved promotion. Still chasing !!!

Gowlad
That's us on 90 goals scored this season. It's actually ridiculous that we could score over 100 goals this season and still not win the league lol. That's just testament to how well and consistent lanark have been this season. Fancy Carluke to nip the final spot Carluke been dealt a poor hand regarding the timing of their final 3 fixtures. One would have thought that something could be rescheduled? Muirkirk will have a big say in who goes up in 3rd as well as potentially who finishes as the title winners as both us and the Gow have trips to Ayrshire to make. Always believe that points in the bag are better than games in hand so it will be up to Muirkirk to see if they can emulate EK's great run of last season to get promoted, having had so many games to catch up on. Muirkirk v Carluke on 11th May should be a cracker.

Hong Kong Phooey
Who saw red on Saturday and why? Did Newmains get anyone sent off too?Jason Thomson for 2 yellows and Scotty Falconer straight red, Newmains boy only got yellow for his part. We only had 12 fit players and none of our normal midfield available. Newmains saw a weakness and rightly went for it. They tried their best to upset us at every chance, even from the bench which made for a bit of a ruff and tumble type game. Could easily have finished a draw but we held out with the 9 men. Still chasing.
