Example: 22-Nov-05 19:45 Ajax (HOL) -1,-1.5 2.100 CS Sparta Prague (CZE) +1,+1.5 1.750 There are different kinds of handicap, Asian and regular (sometimes known as European). Asian Handicaps feature only two possible outcomes. This is the kind of handicap you have there. This -1,-1.5 handicap is also sometimes known as a -1.25 handicap (or +1.25 if you're betting on Sparta Prague). If you bet on Ajax on this with say £100, half your stake goes on Ajax -1, and half your staked goes on Ajax -1.5 . If Ajax then win by one goal, your stake on the first part of the bet is refunded, and you lose the second part of your stake, the total return being £50. If Ajax fail to win you lose all of your stake. If Ajax win by 2 goals or more, both parts of your bet win, and you get back £210. The key part of an Asian Handicap is that it removes the possibility of a draw as there are only 2 outcomes. If you bet is a draw after adding on the handicap, your stake is refunded.
