Your selections are  totally pish.

For Belgium, with some balance, try:

Jupiler, your cooking (& not wife-beating) lager.

Orval as your Trappist.

Blanche de Namur as your wheat beer

Saison de Silly as your Saison (farmhouse beer).

Duvel as your strong, golden ale.

Triple d'Anvers (de Koninck) as your Triple.

Cantillon Gueuze Lambic as your Gueuze.

Whilst for Germany:

Fuerstenberg as your regular pils.

Diebels Alt as your Alt.

Schlernkerla as your smoked bier.

Frueh as your Koelsch.

Dortmunder Export for your Export.

Weihenstephan for your Dunkles-weiss (dark wheat).

Schneider-Weiss Tap 6 (Aventinus) for your Weizen-bock (strong wheat).

These 14 beers represent the complete variety of both countries, and, are not some populist w**k-shite.

TBF, the public have voted for the best two beer nstions in the World Cup.

Should Scotland ever qualify, would you run s World Cup of Whisky?

Cheers

PA

I've been thinking that Scotland would do quite well in this. Just off the top of my head we could field;

Punk IPA

Joker

St Mungo's

Bearface

Isle of Arran

Schiehallion

Corncrake

Birds and Bees

7 Giraffes

There are loads more I'm forgetting. We truly do have some excellent beers in Scotland.

There's some good beers being made in Dundee. 71 and the Law brewery both make decent stuff.

Was 6-3 Germany at the final whistle of the real final, but decided to run til this morning so it wouldn’t have a shorter voting period than the 3/4th PPO...

FT: Belgium 7-7 Germany!

What a comeback!

Extra time period commences til tomorrow!

Feel free to nominate!

Why not my suggestions, which, don't include 3 from the same brewery, in a country that has 5,000+ registered breweries......!

Belgium:

Früli, a Strawberry white beer. Lovely stuff. They used to sell it on tap in The Bobbin in Aberdeen

Germany:

Fruh Kölsch. Similar branding to the above but a very different beer. They used to sell this in Asda and Tesco over here. Sadly no longer.

Why not indeed ‘Pampered Adolescent’! Post one up from each for balance and some pics!
