Ayr looked really good there. Seems to be alot of the same team as last season too, only notice a different keeper, LB and Andy Murdoch.

Not much difference but so many improvers from last season, I believe this side are 20 or 30 points better than last seasons, happy days.

Moussa genuinely looked like he was intentionally trying to get sent off there. McCann even directly warns him that he’s going to get sent off and then he charges straight into the back of someone.
Betting scandal stuff there.

Transfer to Morton before the end of the window if this is the case.

Highlights are great. Hilarious to hear the "CHEAT, CHEAT" shouts from the home support after the Moussa red and at full time. What were they watching?

Even McCann was raging at him telling him to calm down because he had a yellow.

well done Ayr.

McCann makes it easy for the ref.  With that gesture he's basically saying one more foul and you're off, so even if the ref didn't think  Moussas next foul merited a yellow, he was going to give him one.

Moussa was careless and not very bright, but he came on fired up in a cup match they were losing, desperate to make an impact... hardly deserving of being hounded out the club for.

When showing the red card, the ref makes a gesture that he's made 3 fouls so has to go, but if he made 3 fouls in 90 minutes would it have been okay?   The persistent fouling thing is a rule that annoys me, it's so dependent on the individual ref.  You get some players spend the whole game fouling and get away with it, it does seem to be more acceptable if you spread them out throughout the match.

Can’t believe you are defending Moussas pure lunacy from him.

The foul that led to the red card was his fifth in the space of about 15 minutes. He only has himself to blame. McCann was quite rightly telling him to calm down.

I was away to ask if there were more fouls than those shown.  Yes McCann was right to try and calm him, but it was the big obvious gesture in front of the ref that I was questioning.

The ref had already given him the benefit of the doubt previous to McCann making that gesture, it wasn't persistent fouling, it was persistent heads gone challenges from the minute he came on, McCann should have hooked him after the 1st yellow as it was clear he was in meltdown mode from his 1st tangle.

Wee shout out to McDaid. Thought he came on and looked properly fired up in a non Moussa way. If McCall can get him to produce that every week he'll absolutely light it up.

Really struggled to pick a motm yesterday, everyone put a shift in.

Bulking up over the summer has done Forrest the world of good, his defensive play has come on leaps and bounds.

Crawford turning folk inside out was particularly pleasing. As was Kerrs flick off his heel. What a team to watch, would love a crack at Motherwell next.

Jesus man, you've had a bit of a mare here. The lad Moussa was incredibly lucky to stay on the park after the challenge on Harvie, that's a yellow all day long. What's McCann meant to do, whisper softly in his ear? :-D

Fide in peace here.

Just wanted to say congrats to Ayr.  You seem to have a really decent team and I'm genuinely delighted to see how well you've started the season.

Do you reckon you can hang onto Shankland?

Why not, the boy will be in a far stronger bargaining position come the summer and all the Ayr fans will wish him well with a heavy heart when the time comes, unless we do a Livi of course and it could be like pulling 2 supermodels on the one night.

You obviously haven’t watched Moussa play.  He is the most unintelligent player I have ever had the misfortune to watch.  He has no idea how to time his runs and he has even less of an idea where he should run to.  Add into the mix the fact he is extremely poor at finishing * and you will see why most Dundee fans think he should never again play for the club.

*some fans and McCann think none of this is that important for a striker and as long as he can hold up the ball he should be playing week in week out.
