  1. Think the ref has seen the arm out the corner of his eye and thought he's swung an elbow. Certainly not violent conduct but I'm sure the referees union will think it's a magic decision.
  2. The number of quality players we had in those few years, frightening to look back on now. McCowan was almost an after thought at the time but he did grow in to the team eventually. As for Rose coming back next season, I would rather he did not
  3. Can't get my head around Airdrie making the playoffs, given how poor they've looked every time they've played Ayr. It just shows you how bonkers this league is, right enough. Still plenty twists and turns I feel, for some reason I don't think QP will finish ninth.
  4. Chalmers was decent in his cameo, he was left short with a few passes by our technical manager (and they struggled to get on the same wavelength) but overall he did well. He set up Dowds, who somehow poked it wide from a few yards, and also put in the deep cross that led to Musonda's blocked volley. Chalmers will never score an easier goal than he did today but I do get the impression that Brown won't be going out of his way to sign him, which is a shame.
  5. All the best for next season lads, I am sure it won't be too long until we see you back in the Championship.
  6. Franny starts and we win 5-0. Coincidence? I think not.
  7. 45mph gusts - another one of the purists (if it doesn't get postponed!)
  8. There aren't many teams in the Championship with out-and-out decent wingers; how many times do we actually play against one? I would say Dom Thomas is about the best and even he is kicking about at Queens Park!
  9. You need exceptional wing backs to play this well, not something that we often see in our division. I think Thistle are one of the few teams who could pull it off with McMillan and Milne both great players.
  10. There's actually a bit more of an atmosphere when there's a smaller away support packed into the one area rather than spread out over the Railway End. I think it was the Rovers fans who were saying they loved it when they beat us earlier in the season at Somerset. Not to be tit-for-tat but the away facilities at Cappielow must be one the worst in the division.
  11. Watch this space. Mark McKenzie will be inking a new 4 year deal shortly.
  12. As Robbo says, he is good to have around in that he can fill a number of positions. Should he be starting in any of them for a team with designs on the top four? Absolutely not.
  13. Francis Amartey must play in this fixture, Rovers cannae handle him.
  14. Agreed, he was decent and McAllister was actually a better LB than RB!
  15. I'm genuinely in disbelief at the form table there, we've been rotten for a fair few games under Brown. We're so inconsistent i just want us to secure Championship football next season and then see what happens. The random selection policy has me concerned but I can't argue with the form table.
  16. Yuuuuuuuge three points and another step towards safety. Cannot fathom this team: one week we're totally lifeless and the next week we're throwing bodies on the line and winning every 50/50. Jamie Murphy was outstanding tonight, although McGinty also played very well and great to see him score in front of the cameras too.
