topcat(The most tip top)
Two sides that have had periods of looking rather good indeed this season but have had a tougher time of it of late. For optimists this match could technically be a dress rehearsal for the cup final . For pessimists it features two sides that have lost against Hamilton lately. The international break will have given McInnes and Levein plenty of time to come up with a potential solution to their problems. For Hearts the question of how to make things function without Steven Naismith has proved difficult to say the least. Hearts have better cover than in previous seasons but Steven's Naismith's 32 year old knee has been a single point of failure in this squad. Aberdeen on the other hand have dropped 12 points in their last 6 games as many as their previous 18 games. Whatever McInnes did at the end of September after Aberdeen's lacklustre start he'll need to try it again.
Dons_1988
We sold out the away end and Hearts caved and gave us more tickets. That's really all you need to know about this fixture.

naegoodinthedark
Can’t we just count the amount of cup semi tickets sold by each team and award points accordingly? It would obviously be a well earned 3 points for the Jambos, and we could all just stay in the pub. Arthur Orton
I think Levein should go for it, put caution to the wind and go with one up top. Should be a cracker.

glasgow-sheep
It's an away game so we'll win. Hopefully AFC volunteer to have all post split games away from Pittodrie too

Suspect Device
This is so box office I had to look on the 2nd page to find it. As has been said, it's an away game so we should win. On the other hand, it's a Tynecastle and we have a poor record there unless we're playing St. Johnstone. I'll go for a narrow away win. topcat(The most tip top)
Bookies are calling this even you'll get about 9/5 on either side to win 6/1 No Goal Scorer may be a smarter investment

Romeo
I have this on my coupon as a draw so if both teams could see their way clear to making this an eye bleeding nil nil that would be great thanks.
tarapoa
Positives - it's an away game and we tend to be the dogs danglies away from home. Negatives - it's at Tynecastle, a place where we've struggled with the physical onslaught from Levein sides too often in the past. prediction 1-1 (the big Cambridge boy / top midfielder Shinnie)
