I remember milk only came in glass bottles, crisp packets were all paper up until the mid 1970's? My Da washed his armpits in cold water in the morning and people bathed twice a week, if that. The plastics , water and electricity usage of folk under 25 nowadays is atrocious, while they patronise my generation and tell us there's a better way. My point is that when people start off life being so self-appointed, their habits don't improve when money/opportunity comes their way. I'm all for technology bringing the answers but new tech. requires more intelligent people to service it in the future, thus removing more well paid jobs from the "working class" as time goes on. Then fine, lets all stick our heads in the sand while banging on about wind farms, the UK is now negotiating with France/China for the building and running of nuclear power stations we can barely afford, while we pretend the luxury of protesting against such terrible things. It's the XR people who want to end the motor industry, paper production etc, etc, while having little answer to future employment/economy for all the humans they want to save.
