I'm curious as to what the yellow card was for. If there was any intent then it's a red, no question. If it was accidental then why book him?

It strikes me as one of those classic moments where the ref knows something has happened but isn't entirely sure what so books someone in the hope that covers him.

Exactly. And to be honest that's forgivable, I was more wondering why Claire Whyte felt the need to state that a yellow was the correct decision.

I’m guessing they’ll justify it by saying it was reckless rather than intentional. May even be down to level of force?
