Larky55
Talbot 2-1 up at the break, & a bit fortunate to be so.Lanarks Ian Watt, & James Martin we’re giving the Talbot defence some problems.MOM Brian Boylan gave Talbot an early lead after a mix up in the Lanark box left him all alone 10yds out from where he fired home.Gareth Armstrong put Talbot 2 up when he tapped in from close range after a looping header from a Lanark defender caused havoc in the Lanark goalmouth.Peter O’Donnel scored a cracker for Lanark when he blasted the ball high into the Talbot net from 30yds.Lanark 1-2 Talbot HTMark Shankland put Talbot 1-3 in front early in the 2nd half.Brian Boylan put Talbot 1-4 up when he finished off a fine flowing move from inside the box.Jack McDowell showed tremendous skill & awareness when he slipped the ball past a Lanark defender on the byline cutting inside & blasting home from close range.Craig McCracken finished the scoring after he profited from some slack defending to roll the ball home from a yard out.Lanarkshire goal scorer received a red card for some shenanigans on the halfway line, Jack McDowell saw yellow in the same incident.

The 2nd was a foul on our keeper. We take some small consolation from scoring the best goal of the match. I think it is called giving a spirited display. Talbot just too professional and clinical for us on the day. Hopefully some of our young lads will have learnt something from the experience.

Armstrong jumped straight up, not into the keeper, The goalkeeper wasn't strong enough and missed the ball.
