Yes it is and out of respect to her I thought I'd express my feelings anonymously on a Scottish football forum rather than upset her. Seems you're just as sensitive though.

Yes, it's me who's sensitive, not the folk on here going "look at this fucking moron making personal choices about their health that affect absolutely no one else".

Nah you're not sensitive. It just washes over you judging by that post.

She's not alone. A few of them are posting stories and photos of them doing the same.

Nice of the uni to let them plug them in but these devices are going to be useless in the space of time they are sitting in a classroom and if lots of kids bring them it's a clear fire hazard as well. Imagine trying to leave a room in an emergency with these ridiculous things blocking the paths.

Over 13,000 likes that tweet got as well. 🥴

Twitter is like Hitler's bunker for the covid crazies. In the real world it's evident people stopped giving a f**k ages ago. I wonder how many are Chinese bots, mind...

Social care staff and visitors are no longer being advised to wear facemasks at all times under new guidance published today (7 September).

The recommendation has been lifted due to a sharp drop in coronavirus infections and a reduction in severity of illness, which has been driven by Scotland’s successful vaccination programme which has so far seen more than 12 million Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Scotland.

Care home residents and their loved ones will benefit from these more relaxed visiting arrangements. Masks and face coverings in social care may still be worn if recommended in certain situations, such as a local outbreak of COVID, or if staff deem it necessary. Staff and visitors remain free to wear one if they choose.

This guidance balances the risk of harm from COVID-19 with the impact masks can have on communication, mental wellbeing and rights and choices of those working in and using social care services.

Social Care Minister Kevin Stewart said:

“Our phenomenally successful vaccination programme has driven down infections and saved the NHS from untold pressures.

“Removing the need for facemasks in social care settings including care homes is the latest step in our path to recovering from the pandemic.

“This will make communication and relationships easier in care settings, benefiting mental health and promoting the rights and choices of those working in and using social care.”

Feels like ScotGov are softening their stance on face masks and hopefully a sign that they won't be forced upon the general public this coming autumn/winter.

I'd be lying if I said I was following face covering "recommendations" for a while, is there any setting that the SG still expects them to be worn, even if not mandatory?

They still try to get you to wear them in healthcare settings such as doctors, dentists, etc.

I don’t and in my GP surgery am refused admittance to the waiting room but I just stand in the hall.

The whole thing is a nonsensical charade.

Was at the dentist a few weeks ago fand they asked me to wear a mask while waiting to get seen.

It's hit and miss. My dentist doesn't ask for face masks but our GP surgery apparently does.

My ex-optician is still asking people to use handwash when they enter and wear masks. It seems the OCD freaks just don't want to let go but it's their businesses they are killing with all this childish nonsense.

Mr Manky Hands outing himself again.
