They'd be favourites as I say, but they are 3rd in the Czech league last season. It's always going to be hard at this level but we've also had games before where we almost have zero chance at all. If we are at our best I think we have a chance of an upset. Sorry, yeah I meant Conference. We were always likely to be 2nd favourites regardless of who we played and ultimately it's far from a disaster if we don't win. It's a good opportunity to have essentially a free hit against a strong team.
Galajambo
Tremendous draw, won't be easy though as Plzen are around the same standard as both the Prague sides.

HeartsOfficialMoaner
Salazar was at the game so I take it he is training with the players and waiting for the go ahead to sign a contract. Hope so.

VincentGuerin
Delighted with the draw. A good trip either way and a tie we should have a swing in. Always prefer that to some kind of day-tripper pish where we're just going to get fisted off a huge team. Plzen seem to be heavy favourites for the first tie. They had a good season last year, but have sold four players for a fee since then and have had a huge turnover of loanees. However, they do seem to have signed a striker for 3 million Euros, so they might be pretty tidy. Looking at the size of their crowds, the league they're from, their recent record in Europe, Plzen are a decent role model for us as a club, tbh. They, however, do not have Gerald Taylor. Clearly, these absolute chumps need to learn that Heart of Midlothian are absolutely massive these days.
Elixir
Oh, and Pingsley on a new shree-year deal is very pleasing business.
Alberto Spencer
Looks like Tagawa is on his way back to Japan. It hasn't worked out for him in Scotland, despite his goals V St Mirren & Rangers at the end of the season. Hard to use his pace to run in behind when most teams sit in against Hearts. I suspect we may look to replace him. We're also starting talks with Zander Clark & Cammy Devlin on new contracts which is good.
VincentGuerin
Aye. I'd have been fine either way with Tagawa. See if he progresses in the second season or punt him on. Need to replace him for sure though. Loads of games coming up.
Tony Wonder
Tagawa seemed a good lad, wanted it to work out for him. Was hopeful he'd turned a corner at the end of the season, but equally it's going to be hard to get a run with Shankland ahead of him so if we get some cash it makes sense, wish him well. We will need another striker in now though you'd think.
DC92
Shankland is leaving for free in a year so we need to start succession planning now. Neither Boyce nor Tagawa are potential successors, nor can we really rely on them to cover in the event Shankland gets injured or needs rested. Tagawa might have become a useful option if we invested more time in him, but at this point he doesn't add much and it makes more sense to use that time and money on someone who might realistically step into Shankland's role next season. I'd expect a younger player to come in, maybe another South/Central American.
Stylish Kid
Unfortunately I can see Rangers doing That Thing they used to do under peak Murray and sign a rival's important player on a free then let them languish on the bench. I suspect we won't replace Shankland directly when the time comes, probably look to play more like in years gone by with multiple players on 10/15 goals. Prior to Shankland, we haven't really been a team with an out and out top goal scoring striker since what, Early 1990s? Arguably we had Adam, De Vries, Sow, but never like say Motherwell who every 3 seasons or so unearth/concoct a prolific striker
