Will look forward to the game this teatime at the Oval, sounds like a lively first half at Mourneview too! Would be good to see Carrick get up and running against fellow strugglers Dungannon for me!emoji106.png

Would rather the Swifts started motoring, personally.

And then there was one - Linfield the only team with full points after Saturday's games, a 2-1 win for the Blues at Shamrock Park, where both teams finished with 10 men. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54856285

Larne and Glentoran draw at the Oval. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54856286

Cliftonville see off Warrenpoint Town 3-0 at Solitude. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54855669

Crusaders hammer Ballymena at the Showgrounds. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54857047

Coleraine and Glenavon draw 4-4 at Mourneview, where Coleraine had a man sent off - again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54853759

And the Swifts and Carrick draw 0-0 at Taylor's Avenue. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54857050

Linfield top with 12 points from 4 games, Larne two points behind in second place (they'll be pleased with that) a point ahead of Cliftonville and Crusaders who have 9 points. Coleraine fifth with 7 points so already have their work cut out and sixth are Portadown with 4 points.

Bottom half: Seventh, also with 4 points are Warrenpoint Town, eighth are Glenavon on goal difference from Ballymena with 3 points ( Ballymenahaving lost their last 3 games after their opening night win at Coleraine), tenth with 2 points are Glentoran who will be bitterly disappointed with that, eleventh are the Swifts also with two and Carrick are bottom with 1 point.

Watched the Glens Vs Larne game on Sat teatime, thought the home side were probably just worth their point despite conceding most of the possession. Larne do move the ball forward quickly though, they’ll present a challenge to anyone this season. A couple of very good saves from Coleing made the Glens Keeper MOTM for me. Wasn’t such a bad game for a goalless draw. One thing I do enjoy about the NIFL/Danske Premiership is how the players pretty much still get on with the game, without the constant diving/falling about/feigning injury that plagues other leagues. The Ref’s too, also largely seem to be able to let the game flow wherever possible, it’s good to see.

Two defeats for Coleraine to Crusaders and Linfield make it look like it'll be yet another season before the Gibson Cup returns to the Ballycastle Road Showgrounds.

Meanwhile the Blues sail on - 15 points from 5 games, a point ahead of second placed Larne who are hanging in there but have played a game more, big game at Inver this week v Cliftonville.

Third are the Crues with 12 from 6, then Cliftonville 9 from 5 with the rapidly fading Coleraine in fifth with 7 from 6, a point ahead of Glenavon, who have played only 5. Disappointing so far from those two.

Bottom half: Seventh are Warrenpoint Town, 5 from 5, eighth are Dungannon Swifts on goal difference, also played 5. Ninth are Portadown with 4 points ahead of Carrick on goal difference, with Ballymena in the play off spot with 3 points, and Glentoran propping up the table with only 2 points from 4 games. Ballymena and Glentoran even more disappointing than Coleraine and Glenavon.

I left it too late to tag the highlights but as Coleraine lost both their games I probably wouldn't have enjoyed them anyway!

Linfield maintain their perfect start, 2-0 winners over Glenavon. Irish Premiership: Linfield beat Glenavon 2-0 to maintain perfect start - BBC Sport Glenavon manager sent off after full time.

Larne win the battle of the Reds Irish Premiership: Last-gasp Robinson goal gives Larne 1-0 win over Cliftonville - BBC Sport

Ballymena get a home win at last. Irish Premiership: Sky Blues ease to win over Warrenpoint - BBC Sport

And the Crues see off the Swifts. Irish Premiership: Spot on Crusaders see off determined Swifts - BBC Sport

Linfield top with 18 points from 6, then Larne with 17 from 7. Crusaders are two points back in third, also from 7. Fourth are Cliftonville with 9 from 6 - a massive gap at this stage of the season, looks like a three horse race - then Coleraine in fifth with 7 from 6, and Glenavon sixth with 6 from 6.

Bottom half: Ballymena edged into seventh place on goal difference, 6 from 6. Eighth Warrenpoint 5 from 6, ninth the Swifts also 5 from 6, and tenth are Portadown with 4 from 5. Eleventh Carrick on goal difference from the Ports, 4 from 5 and Glentoran bottom, 2 points from 4 games.

Linfield v Glentoran, 1-0 to the Blues at half time. Lively enough first half, I thought. The Blues probably worth their lead, but Glentoran came more into it in the last 5 minutes or so.

Finished 3-3 - quite exciting.

I hadn't realised Clucas had been sent off, too!

No highlights (I'm not sure if there will be any, thought they would have been up by now) so these will have to do.

Irish Premiership: Linfield equalise with final touch of match to grab dramatic 3-3 draw against nine-man Glentoran - BBC Sport

'The game that had everything' - Healy and McDermott reflect on 'Big Two' thriller - BBC Sport

Ballymena put in an impressive performance at Solitude, winning 4-0. That's two in a row for the Braidmen, maybe getting their season on track - unfortunately...

Bit of a shock down at Warrenpoint this afternoon as Larne go top!

Here's the highlights/reports on the top two - Irish Premiership: Warrenpoint come from behind to earn impressive first win over lacklustre Linfield - BBC Sport and Irish Premiership: David McDaid stars as Larne beat Coleraine - BBC Sport

Larne top with 20 from 8, a point ahead of the Blues who have also played 8. The fun starts now, I'd say, can Larne stick the pressure? They''ve done well enough so far.

Crusaders are 4 points further back, so not out of it entirely yet, then Cliftonville fourth with 12 points from 8.

Down at the bottom it's Carrick eleventh and Portadown twelfth with 4 points each, played 5 and 6 games respectively.

Coleraine 13 points off the leaders and only 3 above bottom. :(

Coleraine a goal down at half time at Stangmore Park. Apart from the goal neither side has created very much, unless things change dramatically in the second half it's going to end 1-0 to the Swifts.

Larne and Linfield both win - Irish Premiership: Leaders Larne fight back to beat Lurgan Blues - BBC Sport - Linfield see off Cliftonville challenge - Live - BBC Sport

Crues win, too. Irish Premiership: Late double gives Crusaders a home victory over Glentoran - BBC Sport

Warrenpoint waltz past Carrick Irish Premiership: Warrenpoint Town put three past Carrick - BBC Sport

And Portadown and Ballymena draw. Irish Premiership: Portadown off the bottom after Ballymena draw - BBC Sport

Larne top, 23 from 9, a point ahead of the Blues, also played 9. Third Crusaders on 18 from 9, then a 5 point gap to fourth placed Ballymena, 13 fom 9, fifth Cliftonville one point back, 12 from 9 and sixth are Warrenpoint Town with 11 from 9, they'll be happy with that.

Bottom half: Seventh, with 9 from 8, Glenavon, eighth are Dungannon Swifts, 8 from 8, ninth, and starting to look like relegation candidates, are Coleraine,7 from 8, tenth, and also looking like relegation candidates, Glentoran, 6 from 7, play off spot Portadown 5 from 7 and bottom of the pile Carrick Rangers, 4 from 7.

Depending how Glentoran's, Portadown's and Carrick's game in hand pan out, Coleraine could be bottom once those are played, assuming neither are playing each other, which seems unlikely.
