Last minute winner for Glentoran at Windsor Park - first league win for them there for 7 years - two away wins in a row for the Glens. Late goal by Paul O'Neill gives Cliftonville all three points against Ballymena, 2-1 to the Reds Dungannon pulled one back against Glenavon with seven minutes to go before both sides had a man sent off after a melee, Swifts 1 Glenavon 2 Coleraine had a fairly comfortable 2-0 win at Carrick, 11 games unbeaten for the Bannsiders. Portadown v Larne postponed Title race a bit tighter than it was 3 weeks ago, I keep meaning to watch a couple of these games, but I never get round to it.

Well it's probably worth watching a lot more than 11th v 12th. I've watched quite a few matches (sometimes I forget they're on ) and I've enjoyed most of them (with the obvious exception of Coleraine v Ballymena). Jacksgranda
2-1 to Linfield, thanks to a Lavery double, that's them very much in the driving seat again, six points clear of Larne. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56201492 Larne gave as good as they got and were dangerous on the break, but were always up against it after Lavery's opener from the spot. A very fortunate ricochet gave him the chance of the second, and he wasn't going to miss from that distance. Hughes pulled one back in the last minute, but Larne couldn't force the equaliser. I've seen Lavery a few times and he's a niggly wee f*****, but he scores goals. Edited February 26, 2021 by Jacksgranda Typo

The Blues probably deserving the spoils tonight?

Won't be easy for the Bannsiders, but they must be favoured to edge it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54542802 Hard to see past the usual suspects for the title - Linfield, Coleraine and Crusaders, although I must be honest I haven't been paying a lot of attention to team news and transfer activity of late, so there could be a surprise package. Glentoran will be hoping to mount a challenge. Larne will want to push on from last year's satisfactory debut. Portadown are back in the big time, and will be hoping to emulate Larne's efforts last season, so there will be a bit of bite in Mid Ulster this season with Glenavon and Dungannon keen to show they are the top dogs. Institute currently play at the Brandywell, Derry's ground, their own pitch and facilities having been destroyed by floods. The two seasons don't run in tandem, either. (Obviously 'Stute aren't playing there at the minute as their season is suspended.) I never understood playing in the worst weather months of the year while not playing in the best.

Jacksgranda
Carrick v Glentoran, 17 minutes gone and it's 3-0 to the Glens. Carrick not having much luck. tbf Half time: Carrick 0 Glentoran 5. Not a great deal of silky soccer, what little there is coming from the Glens, but plenty of effort. A lot of it from Carrick as they continually pick the ball out of the back of the net and kick off. For being such a tall team, Carrick are very poor in the air. Full time: Carrick 0 Glentoran 5. Second half was a bit of a damp squib, and for all Carrick's huffing and puffing, Glentoran were the livelier and looked more like scoring. Jacksgranda
Top two win, Linfield beat Cliftonville in the Belfast Derby, 2-0 at The International Windsor Park Stadium, that man Lavery with two late goals, while no new manager lift for Dungannon as Coleraine beat Dean Shiels' men 3-2 at Stangmore. Crusaders shocked by Warrenpoint Town at Seaview, Portadown boss the Mid Ulster derby, (just as well the Glenavon boss had his new contract signed), and I forgot to watch the Ballymena v Larne match, despite saying to myself must watch that after checking the full times, 1-1 it finished at the Warden Street Showgrounds. Jacksgranda
Portadown 0 Glenavon 1 at half time. Some tasty tackles early on and a few bookings - maybe a hangover from Saturday's game - but it's settled a bit. However if it kicks off again ther's no way there are going to be 22 men on the park at the final whistle. Glenavon worth their lead, created a few chances, played a bit of football. Portadown had the wind advantage but it seems to be more of a hindrance than a help. The Glenavon keeper doesn't look too clever, maybe it's the conditions. An interesting second half in prospect. Glenavon got a goal right at the start of the second half and were quite comfortable looking, but the Ports got one back after about an hour and that gave them a new lease of life. However, the Lurgan men held on to win and gain revenge for Saturday's debacle. Conditions were very bad, fair play to both sides, they earned their corn tonight. Jacksgranda
Linfield and Crusaders both won, while Glentoran's good run was brought to an end at The Oval, as Ballymena won 2-0. Jacksgranda
Half time Coleraine 1 Crusaders 0, a Shevlin header just before the break puts the Bannsiders in the lead, somewhat against the run of play, it's about the first chance they've created. Having said that Coleraine were starting to take control in the 10 minutes before half time, Crusaders were the more dangerous before that without creating too much themselves. Coleraine now 2 up, starting the second half where they left off in the first. Crues now have big Owens on as a sub. Also starting to live up to their Hatchet Men nickname. 2-0 to Coleraine, well worth their win. Onwards and upwards!
