Will amend. Two towns involved where clashing with a Rangers cup final would not be a good move from a crowd and player availability standpoint. Winner of the game will be promoted if Darvel win the LL entry playoff and they don't mess up the easier game they have the following Saturday. Dunfermline Jag
17 hours ago, Dev said: This is a mess made by the clubs so they can, if they wish, acknowledge that it needs sorting out by the up-coming AGM. The all Lothians Conference "X" was always going to tempt fate re no new applicants from outside the Lothians let alone none from within the area. It was seen coming as a possibility but the issue was dodged - hoping new clubs would turn up. I hoped they would too but it's not the case and the EoS needs to deal with the situation straight away. It's the only thing that they've got wrong and they need to man-up and put it right as suggested in my previous post. Don't care if you don't like it folks. Deal with it. Even the WoS is considering placing new clubs at the same level as the bottom layer of existing clubs. Congratulations, by the way, to Blackburn United on battling hard and avoiding the drop! There is no mess. Every club is in the position it would have been in if Covid hadn't prevented the formation of Premier, First and Second divisions when originally planned. Two, maybe three, of the Conference X clubs will be promoted. Sure, it isn't ideal that the entirety of the new Third division will be from West Lothian but it is not the the League's fault that the dinosaurs survived longer in West Lothian than anywhere else. There has been no animosity shown by the EoS towards these former junior clubs. That cannot always be said to have been true the other way. Despite that, no club has been punished and no club has been disadvantaged. That is the very opposite of the EoS getting it wrong.

Bit surprised with Bo'ness, bit of a dead rubber for the Dale but Bo'ness still with a shot at promotion didn't look too interested not much urgency, only scored through a late Dale own goal, Dale the better team until reduced to 10 men, decent crowd of nearly 400 with nothing much to play for.

Bo'ness had enough chances in the first half to win two games. Number 11 missed a few, although most were good saves. First half hour of the second half Armadale should've buried them. The young left back is very good.

NOT a dead rubber for the Dale though. The chat on this thread has been about the likelihood of 3 teams getting promoted if Tranent fail to win the Lowland League spot. Armadale had it in their own hands yet again to get ahead of Bo'ness going into the final game to take that chance if it happens.

Can't argue with that Sergeant, was just surprised with Bo'ness, especially after the equaliser and a man up, throw ins etc just weren't like a team desperate to win. And yes young Murphy has finished season strong, think he will go on to bigger teams. A good lad.

Armadale have played all of the promotion contenders in the last few weeks and not won any of the games. Good team, but just not quite good enough this season.

I thought Saturday was the real killer. 4 more points was definitely achievable.

Technically correct but the feeling around the place was it's all over, cup loss midweek didn't help that was our chance to save the season, was certainly nobody there tonight thinking or even talking about us having a chance of going up. Was a bit flat.

Anyway fingers crossed for Tranent and, especially the Hearts tomorrow Edited May 20, 2022 by PastyMan

Bo’ness had the majority of chances. Result keeps BA in the promotion chase. Mon the Darvel…and Rangers.
Vollyman
Very slim chance that Armadale could be promoted if Bo’ness lose or drawtheir final game and. Armadale win their final game and Tranent fail to be promoted the Dale will be promoted but very unlikely

Steven W
Syngenta missed a load of chances v Bathgate. With goal difference now very tight between, I wonder if they may live to regret all those misses
