Inanimate Carbon Rod
Surely Edinburgh uni and gretna should bite the bullet and step down a league this season to allow two better teams to come up? That cant be fun for their spectators to watch and id imagine their players to take part in either getting embarrassed week in week out?
Highland ITFC
That looks like the title pretty much settled then, as Colts really needed to beat EK yesterday in order to keep things interesting. EK looking llike they're over their recent wobble in turning over one of their closest challengers. Can't really see a way that any other team can catch up with them, unless they somehow self destruct. Bit of a shame that it doesn't look like it's going to be kept interesting until the final few weeks.
lowenan
Tranent has two games in hand. Aren’t that far behind.

League will be over if EK beat Tranet when they play.

Tranent did beat EK 7-0 in the cup, but I can't see them dropping enough points in other games. Tranent are not in great form themselves despite winning yesterday. EK are comfortably the best side in the league and should go up.
Connor7
EK are not scheduled to play Tranent until 20th April. Before then, EK have tough matches against Cowden, Hearts B, Bo’ness If they can get through to the Tranent game unscathed, the league might already be over. Really need them to drop points, and Tranent & Bo’ness to keep winning.
Sarto Mutiny
IIRC Tranent play EK on the last day of the season at Forester's. I can't see the league still being up for grabs at that stage, but how good would a last day title decider be?

League will be over by then, as I can see Tranent dropping more points than EK in the intervening period. Tranent have had their chance in the last few weeks but failed to capitalise on slip ups by EK.

Think you already know the answer. If clubs like that had any class and a spirit of Corinthian fair play they would have agreed to modify the relegation format to something sensible by now. They don't so they didn't. The crazy thing is that there's a scenario in which they both get to stay up if the LL champion is promoted and Club 42 is relegated to the Highland League. Brechin replacing Clyde would not be good news for them though.
