Casual Gaming

Inspired by this recent purchase, I figured we deserved a corral to stop the disgusting casuals from infecting the Hardcore and PC Gaming Master Race (or just to recommend good casual games for those of us who can't hack PROPER games).

My son quite liked going through the Midnight Mysteries hidden object games with me when he was wee - I got the first one for free, and ended up buying the rest as a result. PopCap Games used to be the kings of this shit, with stuff like Peggle and Plants vs Zombies. I'd even include strategy games like FTL and Into the Breach in this category too. Anyone have recommendations for simple games you can dip in and out of?

(by the way, I'm not taking the piss out of anyone on here with that opening line - P&B's pretty free of the hardcore gamer chat, sadly for fans of high comedy)

FTL is a ridiculous value for a nice casual game with repeat value, but is easy to tough up with options!

Aye, I'm including them as they're low overhead games that you can play in thirty second chunks.

Any variant of chess counts as a casual game too, for that matter (as far as I'm concerned).
