Guest
Any recommendations for campsites catering for longer-term stays, for a small camper van? Not really too fussed about location but would need to be easily commutable to nearest town/city for work (no particular trade or sector, just generally.....). Eventual aim is to buy a property, don't want to rent a place in the meantime, and a spell on a campsite will give me a bit of time to sort things out. Proximity to local pyramid sides a bonus but not essential!

A quick look says the ones around Inverness charge about £30 a night and most close for at least part of the winter, so you'd probably be cheaper renting a room or flat, unless you can do a private deal with a farmer/crofter or house owner with enough room. On the plus side there are plenty pyramid sides around in some stunning locations! Edited February 19, 2023 by welshbairn
