There's nothing currently in the ground requirements for bronze level that would be a major problem where Newtown Park is concerned but adding some covered seats would probably be a good move to make sure there are no issues down the road.

We had a perfectly good stand until Falkirk council left it to rot. Also all this next work with the hub etc. couldn’t this all be situated under a seated stand and kill 2 birds with the one stone

Seeing as the derby's are back on. I presume there will be segregation in place again. So toilets will be required for ladies and gents at away end ( school) ?

Surely you have more problems to worry about than toilet provision in 5 months time.

Happy to be corrected but I think the Hub proposal was a 2 storey building.  Football facilities wise it would have changing rooms on the ground floor with the top floor having a small terrace overlooking the pitch.  You wouldn't put a small stand on top of a 2 storey building.

Why’d they want a 2 story building then. Surely they could plan something in that would work out for everything

I feel the need to "fansplain" this to you.

The NPA want to improve the facilities at Newtown  Park. A "community hub" would allow NPA a better chance of getting the required funding.  The hub is a multipurpose facility that would be used by several groups as well as individuals 7 days a week.

There's a limited number of institutions that will provide funding and they have limited resources and lots of bodies looking for funding. Chances of getting funding for a covered stand are zero.  Chances of getting funding for a single storey community hub with a covered stand on top are a baw hair above zero.

The proposed community hub would be a giant leap forward for Newtown Park. BU fans should be supporting the NPA.

Repairing it not cost effective plus contained asbestos so a few health and safety issues.

Definitely doesn't have to be either/or on that. Mentioned the covered seating angle mainly because it's something that is rumoured to be coming down the pipeline where club licensing is concerned. The relatively inexpensive and quick way to do it if there were ever a need would be with container stands:

Don't forget the death trap uncovered terracing that away fans are subjected to.
