Bo'ness United 2023/24

Gretna came to avoid another humping and can't blame them for that. Good for the squad to have a bit of rotation and still be relatively comfortable.

One thing that is noticeable is how confident the players are taking risks and playing with a smile on their face, great to see.

3 points is the most important thing .

Correct.    The clean sheet is pleasing as well.

First half was a hard shift for Fin Malcolm who didn't have enough support around him. Really pleased that he kept plugging away and got his goal in the second half.

Gretna players did a lot of running and worked hard but didn't get many chances.  Their hard work combined with a lot of luck kept the BU's down to 2 goals.

Gretna didn’t look like a team that had 20+ goals past them in the previous three games. Enjoyed the game, and Gretna looked threatening for parts of the match , the three trialists must have made quite a difference. Another 3 points, well done all.

Maybe Malcom & Stenhouse up front would have been a better option to start. Second half changes showed the other options available with  Dalziel playing the hold up roll bringing others into play and with a wee bit more luck Mooney could have had a couple plus some desperate defending keeping it at two.

Continue onwards as we can’t go upwards.
