Bo'ness United 2023/24

Pretty poor performance but I think everyone was thrown off by the pitch issue followed by all the first half injuries. Great however to see the team fight back for the win where they definitely would have toiled last season. Kennedy stepped up well when he came on and my goodness Musa, a number of top drawer saves today, he's becoming the keeper that he showed the potential to be last year.

5/5 for Hunterball, doubt even the most optimistic fan would have thought that possible before the first game of the season.

Another 3 points, very welcome, but a big wake up call for Stuart and Michael. We had so many players below par today but we showed good spirit to come back from 2-1 down to win.

In the 1st half we hardly won a tackle, and I can’t remember us winning a second ball in the whole half. Thankfully Musa was outstanding with his MOTM performance.

On a positive note, the 3rd and 4th goals could be candidates for goals of the month, with a special mention for Ryan who topped off a good performance with a fantastic run and finish.

Five wins from five games is way better than anyone dared hoped for, so a big well done to everyone concerned with the club.

When you still get 3 points when having an off day then you are doing something right .

Well done to all at BU for a very successful start to a season .

Agree.    We head into the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup on Saturday v Hawick Royal Albert as the Lowland Leagues top team.  Need to keep the winning habit going.

Really looking forward to a good day out tomorrow at Hawick. Expect to see a few changes and some players get some decent game time, and hopefully a comfortable victory with plenty of goals.

Would imagine Porteous,Johnston & Hawkins being kept back for the Albion Rovers match unless they are 100% fit. The squad is decent enough to cope if need be. Perhaps another Centre Half.

Good to see you have figured out how to embed tweets using a cellphone. Did McCauley not play there pre-season as well for a bit? Think Rutherford and Ward maybe did as well. The idea that players like that can cover for centre half when necessary would explain the lack of further signings in that regard, so maybe this cup game is being used to double check that's sensible?

They are well aware of the need for defensive reinforcement. Probably not wanting to do a 'Max' and just sign the first name that pops up, Hunts surely the man to identify a decent CB.
