His name is pre-printed in referees notebooks, so they just have to tick the appropriate box. Just a sign that he is beginning to reign it in, and I'm hugely chuffed he is staying next season. Scored the first v Cowden today. He had a good game tbf. We didn’t show up but good to see a good crowd and even the rivalry of old bursting into a rammy on the Terrace. Berwick lads need to learn how to hold their beer
Redcar
Already looking forward to next season. The squad looked good last season and the start of this, but it already looks better now, and this time it is led by a much better manager.

A much better age balance in the squad since Scobbie took over.

Still, we'll promise to work on it if you promise to work on taking getting absolutely demolished by Tam Scobbie's Gers better. The only regret anyone can have from yesterday is not capturing a photograph Jamie McCormack's stunning celebration as he got it up the genetic inferiors of Fife. Happy reunion day - hope you enjoyed the 60 minutes of it you stuck about for!

Congratulations on your amazing season.

The Berwick boys were pished out their heads, especially the one I followed out who had apparently sat in a puddle or had a bladder mishap.

Total arseholes, absolute shambles they were, and if they got a slap they would likely have deserved it. If it was genuine kids caught up in something, totally not on.

It was the group behind the goals near the end, standing up on the grass bank. They looked about late teens, early twenties and were enjoying the day (a few of them definitely had too much to drink). They were goading (as you would expect) some of the Cowden fans who left before the end and a few got over excited and some of the Berwick fans moved down to the terrace area and there was a brief scuffle, just handbags. The Cowden fan was a similar age. The stewards appeared (haven't seen so many at a game for ages) and stopped it becoming anything more. No kid was attacked out of the blue, as BTU suggested. Yeah that was them, they camped themselves first half at the far end of the terracing where we usually stand. General pains In the arse. We moved along a bit as couldn’t be doing with any bother, it was no big deal to shift along for one game. It was good to see a decent travelling support apart from these wee tubes. If it was a wee bit of handbags with them and a couple of Cowden lads then nothing really to bother about, boys will be boys.

They usually just sit in the old stand. It was just drunken handbags. The chubby guy who appeared after the scuffle looked blootered. Might have been worse if he was there five or ten minutes earlier. Seen him after the game near the train station shouting at some teenagers, before shuffling up to the station.
Brazilianlex
The chubby guy ironically was the lightweight who pished himself.

Kay, Nelson, McCormack, McKay, Barr, O'Connor, Buchanan, Harris, Laidlaw, is a great core squad to already have signed for next season. Scroll up to see several posts announcing our demise and financial armageddon, just a few short months ago. Regular 400+ crowds are the key. Just ask Edinburgh City. (And East Kilbride in a year or two) And now Callum Antell has signed too.

charliewheelen
Evening all. You may only be enthusiastic about a percentage of the episode, however I recently spoke to current East Stirlingshire manager, and one-time Berwick man, Pat Scullion. As expected, we discussed his emergency loan that led to him signing permanently. He spoke a wee bit about how the club was doing at the time and the manager himself! Here's the link if you're interested, may be even more beneficial now as it's basically an hours worth of free homework on a rival Lowland League manager! https://open.spotify.com/episode/4kNWhNNAfmwXfiaxLf8yHT?si=2ac19548a8e243a9

His departure from Berwick bears no resemblance to what I heard at the time. Won't say any more as I may have been misinformed, and it's all irrelevant now anyway.
