Pars vs Airdrie - Sat 5th August

Recommended Posts

That is some weak ass defending from us there. Can't say it's undeserved, once they get past our press they have created a few openings already and while we've got into the Airdrie box a few times we can't get the shot away cleanly or work the angle. Maybe the rain will be so bad it'll get abandoned...

Been alright, both teams played good football at times. Airdrie hit the woodwork twice and Sharp made a good save. Their keeper made a couple of saves.

We really need more quality in the attacking areas. Nobody has that spark to unlock a defence. No idea why that’s taking so long, when we’ve been without Todd, KRH and O’Halloran for so long.

Was just saying that the only chances we've created have been through applying pressure on their defence rather than any quality and there we go. Good ball in and decent header tbf. Hopefully we can change it somehow though because once they get past our press they look dangerous.

Dunfermline seem quite content to let us pass the ball about at the back, knowing if they leave it with us long enough we might cause our own problems. As you say though, they’ve fount some joy when they have put pressure on the Airdrie defence.

I thought Airdrie had the better of the first 25 but Dunfermline look more in control since the equaliser. Neither team has any proven attacking options on the bench to change the game, so interesting to see what happens in the second half.

And here he comes...

To be fair, Tod should have scored there - two great chances - before colliding with the keeper. He can be a bit headless chicken at times and with him on a yellow card it's probably the right call.

Top class shithousery by McCabe incidentally. Keeper about to get up and get on with the game but McCabe told him to get back down on the ground and made out as if he'd broken a bone. The ref is buying the antics so far from them so why not?
