Surprised by how positive the Arbroath fans are being about the game. That was as easy as the first two fixtures and could comfortably have  been another 4 or 6. United back on it a bit today and it never looked like anything other than an easy win.

Well then you clearly just do not understand the situation Arbroath are in if you are saying that.

We had one defender on the park - who was playing with a broken toe. A right winger at centre half with him. Two right footed central midfielders at right and left back.

That alone would massively make any other team in the division a whole lot weaker never mind Arbroath when they’re playing Dundee United (budget a million times more than anyone else in the division) and we’ve only got 14 players available for selection (2 goalkeepers) anyway.

The guys playing have been carrying us for about 5 weeks now too, they have just had to get on with it regardless. Our subbie goalie went on upfront last week for f**k sake. 😂

Jim McIntyre and the boys playing are fire fighting week to week with everyone chipping in and playing out of position to let us get a team out on the park.

There was absolutely no way Arbroath were giving you a game yesterday, they haven’t in the previous 2 fixtures either when we had a lot more bodies to pick from.

Yesterday though was a million times better than both of the previous 2 fixtures and that speaks volumes considering the circumstances we found ourselves in yesterday.

A massive difference in this Arbroath team under McIntyre than what was previously happening under Campbell and that is why some Arbroath fans are being positive. If Dick was still the gaffer yesterday I would’ve expected double figures before kick off and when the teams were announced.
