Deanburn Dave
Fin becomes the supplier. Great pass to Porteous who makes it 3-0
Deanburn Dave
3-1. Shot across the goal and BU number 1 Campbell cannot hold the ball (again) and it's a tap in for The Dale.

Deanburn Dave
The two trialists are playing left back and defensive mid. Reckon both are under 20's
Deanburn Dave
5-1 . Ball down the channel and flying machine Mitchell first time strike beats Murphy as he rushes out.

Deanburn Dave
Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Goalkeeper Liam Campbell is totally failing to win over the BU fans I talk to. He appears unable to hold onto the shots, struggles with crosses and has almost no physical presence . We need to see a much better level of performance from our number 1 if the BU's want to compete on the pitch .
Deanburn Dave
MOTM today........Ryan Stevenson. Special mentions to Duffy and Macaulay who also played well.
Deanburn Dave
Some good play late in the game when The Dale were tiring. Stevenson, Irving, Grant and Macaulay were in the midfield looking busy and picking out Porteous and Mitchell. Should have scored more. Duffy from centrehalf had a great mazy run with a few 1-2's which saw him in the box but alas the finish was off target. Would have been a cracking goal.
Deanburn Dave
So how good are the BU's for next season ? Here's my out of 10 scores based on the friendlies so far Goalkeeper - Not looking good just now. 3/10 Central Defence- Trav and Duffy needs time to gel and get a better understanding....but there's lots of promise there. 7/10 Fullbacks- Stevenson, Macaulay are the real deal 9/10 Defensive midfield:-the brilliant Danny Irving plus one for me. The problem is who that one is. So far nobody has shone and claimed the jersey. 5/10 Attacking midfield - Porteous and Grant doing well but others like Hamilton and Kennedy have struggled. 5/10 Forwards:- Mitchell looks good with his pace, touch and finish but Fin Malcolm struggles against better defences. 5/10 Lots of work to do for Big Stuart and the BU's.

Will take a while to find his fitness/form again.
