Bay Citizen Posted Thursday at 18:59 Share Posted Thursday at 18:59 Edinburgh City have signed Lewis McArthur and I see that he’s been with Bo’ness for a wee while, any thoughts on him?

Lewis is a good player, but has a huge Achilles heel in that he overplays the ball way too much for a defender. He was Bo'ness captain last year but failed to get back in the starting 11 after injury and unfortunately almost every time he was on the park overplaying the ball cost him and the team. He has all the attributes to be a good centre back, but he needs to cut out the mistakes and lump it sometimes. Most importantly, he has phenomenal hair.

Hopefully our gaffer can help sort him out. The hair was duly noted as phenomenal at the friendly last night.
Deanburn Dave Posted Thursday at 20:24 Author Share Posted Thursday at 20:24 McArthur started well at the BU's and looked a class signing. Injury affected him for a while and towards the end fell out of favour as he had indicated that he was heading to pastures new but overall he is a good player. His over confidence leads to him trying to dribble out of trouble when the correct play is a big hoof up or out the park. Usually played centrehalf for us but personally I think right back is his best position.
Deanburn Dave
Two sleeps until The Fitbaw returns. Hurrah. Heard from a couple of sources about some definite new signings, some likely signings and a most welcome loan deal. Hopefully the club announces these soon. Lots of players just now without clubs hawking their wares around the clubs. I am confident Hunter and the BU's will sort the wheat from the chaff.
