Watching this now, it's just a reminder of the fact that Scott McTominay is arguably the best footballer in the world, also those salty Spain tears 😂

ETA highlights how much we're going to miss Dykes at this tournament 😢

lol

Wasn't McTominay amazing?! Definitely, definitely our best finisher.

I watched it last night. The thing that stood out is the camaraderie of the entire squad. They're a band of brothers, and it shows.

Hell, watch the bench after McLean got the winner. Even Chris Woods (legend) lost his mind!

Ahhh.. Rodri. ;)

A penalty shoot-out is not part of the match, so it was a draw.

I know that's technically correct, but I always find it weird. Normal time, extra time and penalties are all practically and functionally part of the tie - wonder why we segregate the shoot out.

Those are still proper football, just some extra minutes of it, a penalty shoot-out is a totally different thing which purely exists as a method of breaking a tie.

Yeah that's true. But when the tie is broken by penalties, that's the result (as opposed ot a draw) as I see it. It just feels clunky referring to a game as "ending in a draw, but  we won on penalties" etc
