pub car king
Here in the badlands the coffin dodgers did their duty and I have a tory who won by about a thousand votes. Interesting election in a number of ways. Despite 14 years of car crash government fucking up everything in sight and corrupt to their core the voter turnout was just above 50%. This is hardly a ringing endorsement of Labour despite their landslide victory and more a case of the public have had enough and just want anyone else in the door to try and stop the rot. In terms of Scotland it strikes me as a protest vote against the SNP who have been in power for a long time and have suffered the same fate that all parties who have been in too long. It might prove to be a blessing in the long run when Labour can't turn things around as well or as quickly as they'd have you believe and they will need to have a long sharp look in the mirror with Holyrood coming up in 2026.

dirty dingus
I came back to Scotland for a month so I got to vote. I voted SNP but I was a bit meh as I didn't actually think Cowan was a good MP, seemed more interested in talking about puggies and cannabis than trying to bring regeneration to Inverclyde. The Labour guy who won is a lying identikit new labour arsehole who was never out the paper talking down our local hospital and being a dour faced p***k in general. It will be interested to find out how much Labour spent on their campaign and who funded it as their presence was everywhere compared to all other parties.
AyrshireTon
Voted SNP and stuck out the results until around 0345 (had hoped to see DRoss getting punted). Woke to find I'm in the minority - in a place full of unionists with a big blue border. It's like being in the away end at Ibrox.
Blue Brazil Forever
I held my nose and voted for a candidate and party I wouldn't normally vote for. I suspect a whole load of Scottish voters did the same - I now know my wife did. PS the lady we voted for won big.
