PossilYM
Suppose eventually one of these B teams is going to win this.

Depends on how many changes to the team they make, and against who. That's a big part of why it's so wrong, no chance of promotion but a huge influence on the final positions.

Yeah but you're implying they're making a lot of changes week-to-week and it's pot luck who you face, that doesn't appear to be the case, it's consistent with other clubs in the league. There's not actually too much movement between B team and first team during the season either. The stats also show that "new" players into the club from the previous season for the B teams were one of the lowest in the league ie they're pretty consistent - most of the "new" players will of course be players coming up from U16/18 level and making a handful of appearances. Hearts used 28 different players, of which 10 played less than 10 games, 7 of them 5 or less, 15 played 20 or more so it seems a fairly consistent core squad of 18-21 players used. Liam McFarlane (GK) and Callum Sandilands played every single game. Celtic used 34 different players, of which 15 played less than 10 games, 12 of them 5 or less. 9 played 20 or more games. That's a core squad of 19-22 players used. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scottish-lowland-football-league/eingesetztespieler/wettbewerb/SC5L/plus/?saison_id=2023&spieltag=38&filter=alle

That kind of can't No. If Celtic B finish with most points and for instance,Hearts B come next, then the next top LL team advances to the play offs. I'm not certain if they are designated as Champions for this purpose but hey ho, that kind of cant. As for Cowden, if circumstances and regulations at the time permit, they might even end up in the Highland League or God forbid, the WOSFL. Who knows, there might even be an invitation.

You could always apply to join the SOSFL, apparently that's an easier path back to Tier 5.

Oh, who the hell knows anymore. Clubs seem to be picking and choosing what rules applies to them, as suits their own personal agenda.

Cowdenbeath can be relegated to the EOSL. But one of the B teams can’t win the Lowland League. The rules of the Lowland League are that the B teams are removed from the final table at the end of the season - for example Cowden were officially 8th in the LL last season
Eder
First chance to see our B team this season. I'm not bothered about them finishing first but at least this season there seems to be a good bit of progress.
