Better first half for us with Fitzy top boy but really didn't look like scoring .Faded a bit in second half as Livi made some telling substitutions and were unlucky not to grab the points right at the death ,so happy enough with the point against the only team who remain unbeaten in this league .

Good noisy crowd but down a bit in comparison to equivalent QP game which must be a worry for the suits .Really need 6 points from next two games to get the fans juices flowing again .

Martindale is an entertaining watch, the only Manager I've  seen who can gesticulate three different ways simultaneously .

That's pretty much our game plan, almost came off again as we came close with that late effort at goal. Just wish we'd start with wingers that would provide service to Muirhead and May, and maybe we'd see us scoring goals in the first half to make it a bit more entertaining to watch.

Montano and Shinnie should be starters on our left side. They compliment each other excellently and we saw them combining well today. While Sole's super-sub role has been very effective, almost spectacularly so today, it might be better to give him the start on the right.

We get a lot from May in home matches when we have more possession. He can take part in build up then with his clever passes and touches. It's harder for him to make the same impact in away matches. We're missing the option of Yengi's pace and power but May is doing well.

Brandon, McGowan, Nottingham and Prior were flawless again today. Brandon had an especially good game. Pittman was excellent defensively with his high pressing first half. The tactic this season has been to move him up right behind the centre forward second half and we saw that again today. No real chances fell to him but he was lively. He's often the more likely player to get onto our crosses as the centre forward provides a decoy. Kelly and Finlayson both played well. Useful sub appearances from McAlear and Winter.

Amen to that, would be great seeing Sole playing when Muirhead is on the pitch too, but we usually have him subbed off before Sole comes on.

A point here isn't the worst result for us, still unbeaten

It isn't, but it was god awful to watch.

We weren't up to much first half (no surprise there), but defended well. Started the 2nd half brightly but after about 10 mins it went flat again, until the subs came on, Montano was making good runs down the left hand side, getting balls across the box, and we almost nicked it at the death.

Just seems too little too late with our game plan, when the hail mary doesn't come off, it isn't a great watch either, when the feck are we going to start with Sole and Montano to get us service from both wings into May and Muirhead, we can't get away with putting it all on the subs in the last 10 mins every game.

The good thing is we're a lot better defensively this season, after being as weak as feck last season, and remain unbeaten in the league, going to be interesting seeing how we stand up against Falkirk away on Tues.

Christ, surely Livi aren't the only team to stop Falkirk. Early days, but the rest of the division need to waken up.Or do we lie down. Cmon Championship.

Raith did it last week

Muirhead's goals against Hamilton came when Montano was at left back. For Muirhead to be able to make those runs he likes making into the centre forward area, he needs a rampaging full back.

You can still get use out of Muirhead when Clarke is at left back but it does change how Muirhead plays. Clarke plays more conservatively which forces Muirhead to stay wider. That can be fine as Muirhead actually has a really good cross. However, getting onto aerial crosses isn't really May's game.

Yeah May and Muirhead are having to drop deep to get the ball, and then aren't in the box to get the deliveries, because it's them making the cross.

Montano could either play as a LWB replacing Clarke, or in a 4-4-2 dropping Kelly and Smith, and having Sole and Montano on the wings with Muirhead and May up front. Would just like to see us starting with proper attacking options down the wings, so Muirhead and May could get decent service up front.

Would be the same back line of Finlayson, McGowan, Nottingham, Clarke, then Pittman & Brandon in midfield, with Sole and Montano on the wings, and Muirhead & May up front.
