David W Posted July 5, 2004 Share Posted July 5, 2004 What were Portugal playing at last night? Four defenders/two defensive midfielders were marking two players between them!! They were also crying out for a second striker to play alongside Pauleta. When Gomes finally comes on, they take Pauleta off!! Greece won the tournament, because no team out thought their manager. Costinha was wandering about doing nothing, and unsurprisingly, was to blame for the goal. Take him off, bring on a striker, then Greece would have had a totally different team to face. Poor, poor management from Scolari. As it happens, I said that Greece were going to score as the guy ran up to take the corner.
