Davis Love III
We've certainly seen a few upsets so far, but we always do in this event. Thornton might just pull off another. I think what they should do in the future is have a Red Button service in this event, where you can choose any of the 8 games to watch, similar to Football First on Sky Sports. But sadly will probably never happen.
The Naitch
A terrific 10-darter from Whitlock gives him a 6-4 lead at the break. That's four legs on the bounce for him ... don't see Thornton coming back from that.

They're not able to since they went to HD on the darts ... the spectrum couldn't handle eight HD feeds on the one 'channel'.
The Naitch
Well, there wasn't much that Thornton could do about that ... seven legs on the bounce gives Whitlock a 9-4 victory.

Shuggie_Murray7
Yawnnnnn. Merv king was getting beat two one.Would of been better than this another walk over for taylor. It's pish. Skys spunking of their pants everytime Taylor plays means you don;t get to see a game where it might be actually cometitive...what a waste.
The Naitch
There's been some cracking matches on the outer boards this afternoon. Good as Whitlock, Wade and Taylor are we've had them on the telly non stop for the last four months in the Premier League - bit of variety please Sky!

F_T_Y
Anderson needed that leg just before the break. He should kick on from here.He probably played so well against van gerwen because they throw at the same speed.Nicholson is alot slower.
The Naitch
Both players missing doubles for fun in this leg ... Anderson eventually takes it to bring it back to 4-4.
The Naitch
The Pieman is through ... he's beaten Jamie Caven. Aidy Lewis is also in the last 16 after beating Colin 'The Wizard' Osborne.
The Naitch
Some of Nicholson's attempts at the double are, in relative terms, miles off ... 5-5 at the break.
