I echo many of the comments made about Martin Adams on here recently, but hopefully we'll jave a good final tonight, to conclude what has unfortunately been a very dissapointing Tournament.

If Wolfie claims the win tonight, as you would expect him to, he'll join an exclusive club with winning three 'World Championships', joining John Lowe, John Part, Eric Bristow, Raymond Van Barneveld and Phil Taylor with those achievements.

As much as many of us would argue that Wolfie isn't a 'true' World Champion, history will record him with having that record.

Lets hope we have an entertaining final!

wheres your evidence that this is happening week in week out? what was the big deal with lewis getting it if they happen week in week out rolleyes.gif

Its because it is a rarity on tv because of the extra pressure playing on it brings. Not in comparison to the BDO though who have had one televised nine darter in about twenty years.

Infact, 259 ranked Larry Butler hit a nine darter last year.

"At the 2009 PDC Players Championship in Las Vegas Butler hit a 9 dart finish but lost 6-2 in his second round match against Jan van der Rassel The tournament was considered a "warm-up" event for the 2009 Las Vegas Desert Classic."

If you believe Adams is a true world champion then I think you should swap your maroon blazer for a white coat.

Lewis isn't a true world champion.Only way we would find out if everyone played in the same competition. Not much point going on about it.

MARTIN ADAMS 1-0 DEAN WINSTANLEY

Set Scores: 3-1

180s

Adams: 1

Winstanley: 1

Over 40 Checkouts

That was a good last leg of the set there wasn't it? Certainly didn't see it coming after a very nervy opening.

Where is this info coming from?

Internet messageboards.

Read that the grand slam might be going on sky. That would be shite imagine harrington and his clowns taking the pish out of someone in the bdo.Reason i like the grand slam so much is because its not focused on taylor all week.

MARTIN ADAMS 2-1 DEAN WINSTANLEY

Set Scores: 3-1, 3-0, 2-3

180s

Adams: 3

Winstanley: 2

Over 40 Checkouts

Adams: 161, 41, 82, 80

Winstanley: 85, 80

Dean Winstanley is beginning to find his way into this match. He still makes daft arse decisions though. Every week I see every player in the pub leagues make better choices in their shots than this guy does. Guy is a plonker. Can't believe Adams hitting the big 1 when he was aiming for the 20. If ever there was a sign that Winstanley could be in the match, that is it.

Unfortunately there's not many left in the BDO that can challenge him for the World Championship, he's one of the biggest bottlers in TV darts, sadly that's where BDO darts are at present.

MARTIN ADAMS 2-2 DEAN WINSTANLEY

Set Scores: 3-1, 3-0, 2-3, 2-3

180s

Adams: 3

Winstanley: 3

Over 40 Checkouts

Adams: 161, 41, 82, 80, 151

Winstanley: 85, 80

Martin Adams hasn't been able to really hurt Winstanley, but that 151 to win the second leg of the set must have been a hard one. Winstanley seems to have a wee bit of bottle though and it didn't appear to phase him at all. He's also got the crowd firmly on his side which is going to help him.
