Marshmallo
A- Waites, Walsh, O'Shea, van Gerwen B- van Barenveld, Winstanley, Hankey, White C- Anderson, Jones, Dolan, Heydon D- Wade, Jenkins, Pipe, Chisnall E- Taylor, King, Beaton, Hubbard F- Newton, Nicholson, Bates, Caris G- Webster, Dekker, Part, Monk H- Lewis, van der Voort, Stompe, Phillips Group D looks the toughest IMO My predicted qualifiers in bold. Group D looks the toughest. Group B is definitely the weakest. -
The Naitch
Group D is the obvious eye catcher but Group H looks very competitive too. Five nights to go 'til it all kicks off!
The Naitch
Lakeside 1st Round Draw Ron Meulenkamp vs Gary Stone Martin Adams vs Scott Mitchell Ross Montgomery vs Fabui Roosenbrand Tony O'Shea vs Steve West Paul Jennings vs Garry Thompson Gary Robson vs Steve Douglas Wesley Harms vs Martin Phillips Robbie Green vs Daryl Fitton Ted Hankey vs Clive Barden Scott Waites vs Andy Boulton Willy van der Wiel vs Dave Prins John Walton vs Martin Atkins Tony West vs Geert de Vos Jan Dekker vs Christian Kist Benito van de Pas vs Alan Norris Dean Winstanley vs Joey ten Berg
tigerton
Decent enough draw for the 2 Scottish lads then. Green v Fitton, Walton v Atkins and Winstanley v ten Berg could be really good games.
tigerton
Group D is the obvious eye catcher but Group H looks very competitive too. Five nights to go 'til it all kicks off! Group H is a stormer. 4 quick throwers as well.
MTJ
Am I the only one who feels Simon Whitlock not being there will dilute their enjoyment ever so slightly?
tigerton
Am I the only one who feels Simon Whitlock not being there will dilute their enjoyment ever so slightly? Doesn't bother me. He's been boring since the PDC gave him that ludicrous Aussie walk on music.
DomDom
Whitlock hasn't been able to find his form consistantly. I'm glad he has gotten this surgery. This injury has been causing him trouble for yonks, hasn't it? A- Waites, Walsh, O'Shea, van Gerwen B- van Barenveld, Winstanley, Hankey, White C- Anderson, Jones, Dolan, Heydon D- Wade, Jenkins, Pipe, Chisnall E- Taylor, King, Beaton, Hubbard F- Newton, Nicholson, Bates, Caris G- Webster, Dekker, Part, Monk H- Lewis, van der Voort, Stompe, Phillips This is my predictions for the group ahead. Oh, and I can't wait to see Waites vs. Boulton in the BDOs. I reckon that'll be really good. I can see Fitton being swept aside with ease. Scott Mitchell is a tricky one for Adams early in the tournament. That's actually a good round one draw there. Surprised at the amount of decent looking games.
Marshmallo
Group D is the obvious eye catcher but Group H looks very competitive too. Five nights to go 'til it all kicks off! I can't wait for it myself. I really like the group stage format. Am I the only one who feels Simon Whitlock not being there will dilute their enjoyment ever so slightly? I really enjoy Whitlock too. One of the best players in the world who has been overlooked slightly in the last year or so IMO (although he hasn't been quite as good as when he first came over). -
Neilly
I don't think Whitlock is a major miss in all honesty there is enough quality players and top characters in this tournament. He's as well getting the surgery now and being ready for the Worlds as this tournament doesn't count towards ranking points or anything like that. Surely Wolfie won't win Lakeside again? He's been playing shit this year it must surely be the time of Scotty 2 Hotty if he plays anywhere near his top form.

The Naitch
Fear not, I've finally got the Prediction League up! I thought the format was first to 5 Legs in the Group Stages? That's been asked on other forums too as the PDC haven't officially confirmed it. Can't see them changing the format from the previous tournaments, like you've mentioned in the predictions thread.
F_T_Y
A punter at william hill has placed 9k on taylor at 5/4.I cant see anyone else winning it,Lewis is playing shite,Anderson has proven time and time again he isn't good enough when it comes to the final hurdle, the fact he is second favourite is laughable.Wade is pretty solid but surely last years collapse will be in the back of his mind. Walsh was 2/1 to win group A earlier in the week now 9/4.
George Parr
No Martin Adams again this year? What's the deal there, I thought he had played Adrian Lewis just recently.
DomDom
The Adrian Lewis game wasn't a PDC tournament. He beat Lewis btw. He;s very much a BDO loyal, so won't play in what is a PDC tournament in name. As for second favourite, it's James Wade. The fact that the bookies have Anderson as second favourite is hilarious. Wade is the only player that you could consider as the guy in that spot.
MTJ
I fancy Waites to do some damage, averaged near 100 throughout the Masters in a long format.
