So am I right in saying anyone who'd qualify twice (ie two finals), their second spot goes to the highest non-qualified OoM player?

If that happens and all the other runners up have made it too then, yeah, they'll give one of the automatic places to the highest non-qualifier in the OOM.

If we use this year's tournaments as the template then all the finalists would make it plus Wade, Newton and Pipe from the OOM.

For the 2006 edition, the PDC World Championship changed to its present format of a 64 player first round. Here was the Top 32 going into that Championship eight years ago.

5. Peter Manley (n/a)

6. Wayne Mardle (n/a)

7. Kevin Painter (13)

8. Andy Jenkins (56)

9. Denis Ovens (40)

10. Mark Dudbridge (65)

11. John Part (25)

28. Steve Maish (135)

29. Jamie Harvey (n/a)

Just 11 of those 32 players remain inside the PDC's Top 32. A further illustration of how far things have changed/enhanced since then.

Never knew Colin Lloyd used to be a former world number 1, has this ever been mentioned when he's on TV?

He lost in the first round that year to Gary Welding...

Lloyd was still number one a year later, when he lost to Barney in the second round 4-3 after being 3-0 up. Jaws was never quite the same after that loss...

I've noticed a shift in Wade's mood this week. He looks more alert during the walk-ons, smiling and interacting with the crowd, and he is even speaking in a more positive fashion.

Reflective of his condition, but he seems to be in a better place than he was a few weeks ago.

As far as I can tell, with two Pro Tour events remaining - these are the 16 players who would presently qualify unseeded for the World Championship.

Stuart Kellett

Jelle Klassen
Jamie Lewis
Darren Webster
Ronny Huybrechts
Mensur Suljovic
Aaron Monk
Joe Cullen
Dennis Smith
John Henderson
Kevin McDine
Dean Winstanley
Steve Brown
Andy Jenkins
Scott Rand
Terry Temple

Yes, it is true, at present, Colin Osborne hasn't qualified...

To be fair, he was only evens

I think he meant for the tournament.

Thought we were getting a 9 darter there.

Sorry Todd is God, just re-read that, he did mean the match!
