Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is one of my favourite actors and I'm hoping to go and see 'The Terminal', because it looks quite good...from the trailer anyway. I bought 'Road to Perdition' out of £stretcher the other day and have to say that it's a top flick. Anyway, despite what anyone says, Hanks has appeared in some crap films too, even though most people are under the impression he hasn't.

Best

5. Philadelphia

4. Road To Perdition

3. Forrest Gump

2. The Green Mile

1. Saving Private Ryan

Worst

5. Punchline

4. Dragnet

3. Turner & Hooch

2. Joe Versus The Volcano

1. Bonfire Of The Vanities

I wasn't under the impression that Tom Hanks had been in a single good movie, ever.

Erm, I suppose Philidelphia has a great opening/closing soundtrack, so that'd be number one in the best of...

Give me a year and I'll get back to you on the rest. :P

Cast Away is the worst film I have ever had the misfortune to see! The rest of his films (that I've seen) aren't that much better. I tend to avoid films now if he's in them.

I was shitting myself all the way through Private Ryan , I watched it in a cinema in Canada and you could feel the 'thump' of distant shelling go through your seat - I loved it .

Forrest Gump is one of my favourite films of all time , regardless of what anyone else thinks (Shawshank is my actual favourite) the film comes together when Forrest recalls the things he 'noticed' during his life and I could watch it again and again .

er , Sleepless in Seattle - not actually a great film but tied in with a bottle of red wine it's like 'Viagra for wimmin'

The 'Burbs - cack

Turner and Hooch - cack

The Money Pit - cack

Joe versus the Volcano - cack

The Ladykillers - supposed to be cack
