Quentin Taranbino
New HBO drama series coming in January starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. Against my better judgement (judging a show from it's trailer) - I reckon this is gonna be utter class! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8i5CR4kDjM

DomDom
Was gonna put this in the Upcoming thread, but the serious level of excitement in me leads me to give it a new thread. Seems worth it to me. If it lives up to the promise, this could be very special. Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and Michelle Monaghan star in a movie set in 1995 and 2012 and is revolving around a murder case. EDIT: It's a TV show. Not a movie, as I said here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roiKrE5KLbk Edited October 29, 2013 by DomDom
Mayos Noun
Seen this on IMDB. Looks ridiculously promising with a great cast.

YER SISTERS YER MAW
It looks like Sky Atlantic will pick this up like other HBO series in the past. It seems like it has potential to be pretty good going by the trailer.
Dee4Life1893
Anyone seen the first episode yet. I thought it was fantastic. Bleak and depressing with a great story. So many clues and little bits of conversation to pick up on. Never been McConaughey's biggest fan but he is flawless in this.
Quentin Taranbino
Agreed. Thought it was great and McConaughey is fantastic as you say and Woody Harrelson is great as always.
scottsdad
I was a little bored. If they had two other actors in there, I doubt this series would survive.
stumigoo
Very excited by the prospect of this. Comes to Sky Atlantic 22nd February I think.
Dee4Life1893
I was a little bored. If they had two other actors in there, I doubt this series would survive. I'm pretty gripped by it. Interesting to see where it goes. The second episode was definitely weaker than the premiere. But still plenty of information given. It's like they are dripfeeding it to the viewer. Can't wait to watch the next episode during my lunch hour tomorrow.
Goran
This is absolutely outstanding. Matthew McConaughey is so good in it, I never really paid much attention to him before seeing him in this. It's dark, it's not exactly action packed but the characters are excellent and the story is gripping. I know it's early on to be saying this but the way it's going it could be up there with The Wire, for me.
Dee4Life1893
Wow. That last scene of Ep 4 was crazy. Must have been a constant 10 minutes. Loving this.
DigOutYourSoul
Think I need to start watching this sometime soon. Got so much on my plate just now with 5 seasons of the sopranos to go and Person of Interest every Wednesday that I don't know if i'll have time.

Dee4Life1893
Hope there is a influx of posters tomorrow after it aired on UK TV tonight. Doubt it somehow.
stumigoo
Wow. Simply stunning TV. Fantastically written and acted, with a real intensity throughout. Matthew McConaughey went through a horrendous 'rom com' stage in his career but there is no doubting how good an actor he is. Delighted he has upped his game in the last couple of years. Despite only being one episode in I can see this possibly becoming one of my favourite TV shows of all time.
