  1. Well that was fucking delightful. Another dominant display, another team whose fans think they are better than us dispatched of. March on, March on, don't be afraid.
  2. No reason why not. We are in the right position for now and the form team in the league. So it's not impossible, although a huge challenge. But I'm here for it. First things first though, we need to actually secure the play off spot, hopefully starting with a positive result v Dunfermline tomorrow. That's all that matters right now.
  3. So pleasing. Imrie is such an unlikeable wee fud so it's great seeing the implosion continue. Get it right up him.
  4. Irrespective of how fans think Raith played, the bottom line is that McCabe got his tactics spot on and once again, Murray didn't. It was evident that the Raith players were told not to press, but to stand off us. We knocked the ball about at the back with ease. Now that's OK if the plan is to start pressing us when we advance up the park, but that just didn't happen, leading to Frizz having all the time and space he needed to rattle in a couple of crackers. So yeah, I can see why you'd blame the players for not closing him down, but I genuinely think they were executing Murray's instructions. That entire first half, I cannot recall a single time you pressed as a team, whereas Airdrie did, thus why we won the ball back quickly when out of possession and kept possession so well when on it. 2nd half, 3 subs and a clear change of tactic to start pressing. And it did make a big difference. But by that point, we are sitting 2 goals to the good and able to implement a tactic of hitting on the counter attack, which again, we executed to perfection. So for me, the main difference between the two teams is not the quality of player, but the managers. And McCabe has comfortably come out on top again.
  5. Aye but they'll skelp your dirty hoofball merchants.
  6. You OK? Here to talk if you need a shoulder to dribble on.
  7. Look on the bright side Raith fans. At least you managed to stop Toddy from scoring. #KeepTheRaith
  8. He ended up in hospital for a few days with a bleed on the brain and I believe he's pretty much out for the season now. Gutting for him but his safety and recovery comes first.
  9. Just read through this entire thread and it's fair to say that, aside from some grim posts, in large it's a decent read. Couple of thoughts from me. I don't get the whole 'squad rotation' comments with a view to Saturday's game. There's 3 points to play for tonight so that should always be the priority. Strongest team needs to start. Someone posted saying Raith have been poor v us, but I agree with the poster who said that, in large, that's been down to how Airdrie set up to play. Rhys has tactically trumped Murray so far this season. Think we can all agree on that. And I hope he manages it again tonight. Absolutely no doubt Murray will be over-thinking how he can change his fortunes but truth be told, they've all been tight games so I don't think there's a whole lot of tinkering needed from him. But he's proven in the past with us that he struggles to implement a plan b and think that's also a flaw we've exposed this year to date. A lot of Raith fans saying this is a must win game for them but I'm not so sure. Airdrie have still to play Dundee Utd at home and, given we beat them 2 nil on their own patch the last time, you can bet your ass Rhys will be looking to beat them again at home. Any Raith fan who doesn't think this season has been superb is off their head. Same for Airdrie. It's been an incredible season for us so far. 90%+ of opposition fans had us as fodder and expected us to be relegated, yet here we are, 5 games left, fighting for a promotion play off spot. It's utter madness. My dream scenario to end this season would be Raith winning the title, Airdrie pipping Partick to 3rd and us beating Dundee Utd in the play offs on route to our own promotion dream. A dream it may be, but given how the last year has gone, I'm willing to believe that anything is possible.
  10. That was a tremendous performance today. Once again Rhys set us up well and countered Morton's hammer throwing tactics perfectly. Some beautiful play throughout, back to front, and 3 good goals.
  11. You took the time to put a word in italics but didn't take the time to spell it properly. Also, I think you'll find Airdrie were cleared and the fact still remains that the Quitongo brothers are scum bags of the highest order.
  12. Well done for cementing your place at the top today. Easily the dirtiest team we've played this season. But I'd expect nothing less with a wee shitey pants ned like Imrie as your manager.
  13. But you've not disproven it. You've proven it. Morton are still top.
