Excitement FC vs Stranraer
Bring Back Paddy Flannery replied to May Rckinnon's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Sad to hear. -
Another very solid display from young Lennon today, apart from when he nearly gifted them a goal before our equaliser. This guy has come on leaps and bounds amidst a shitstorm involving his poor family and he’s certainly made me eat my words when I questioned if he was good enough for this level. Fair play to him. The only thing that concerns me at this stage is any injuries involving our regular starters because I don’t think any of the bench warmers look like they could come in and do a similar job.

Excitement FC vs Stranraer
Bring Back Paddy Flannery replied to May Rckinnon's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
It’s not looking good for Stranraer at all now. Hopefully you can do the business against the chicken man’s B team shagging, circus freak show because I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say they would be a fucking horrible addition to the SPFL over a good club like Stranraer. All the best boys. -

When a suitable pyramid involving teams that want to be promoted and/or aren’t competing in a joke leauge with B teams we will welcome it. Until such times close the door.- 395 replies

Trapdoor to Hell

Scrap the pyramid. The thought of a good, honest league club like Stranraer losing their league status to a vanity project/glorified sports club and B team voter who have cruised into the final because some diddy, teuchter mob prefer being a big fish in a small pond is sickening. Close the door.- 395 replies

Considering Farrell hands out contracts like sweeties he probably would’ve stayed, regardless of his recent upturn in form. -

Sons' sorrow

Gallagher was a victim of being severely misused by Aitken. As soon as we played him as a striker he started banging them in and actually didn’t match that season’s tally until his 3rd season with Ayr. He’s an excellent lower league striker and it’s criminal we spent 2 and a half seasons playing him out wide. -
That’s Morikawa fucked. His caddie will be oot on his arse for that.

Dumbarton v Clyde 13/4/24
Bring Back Paddy Flannery replied to O'Kelly Isley III's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
That’s a very good 3 points in what was horrid conditions. I thought we dealt with Clyde well in the first half and we looked a lot more dangerous than they did with the wind at our backs. For a team fighting for their lives I found Clyde’s 2nd half tactics bizarre. The weather was obviously brutal but they were quite literally camped in their own half the entire 2nd half and the goalie got booked for time wasting after 57 minutes. Even with the wind at your back defending can be dodgy so surely to god you at least have a bit of a go. They got what they deserved in the end. -

Clyde playing for a point here. Brutal stuff. -

This is exactly what I’m thinking will happen. We’ve done very well to go in at 0-0 playing into that wind and we even had a few semi decent chances to score. Some of our players are seriously struggling to adapt - Hogarth with his punts straight into the air and Lennon with his constant cross field rakers that are just dying in the air and causing us all sorts of bother. Shoot on sight in the second half please Sons. -

I think I might lose the rag if I have to watch Hogarth kick the ball straight into the air again. -

We could have prime Zidane ready to come back from injury and Farrell still wouldn’t start him if the team won the week before. -

No 3pm games can be shown in the UK. It is very easy to get around the block by using a VPN. -
I don’t think we’ll see him winning at Augusta but I’d fancy him for another Open. The clock is ticking mind you.

I see Callum Wilson is injured again. I thought he looked very unfit (which is understandable) but he seemed to be starting every game. It felt like a lot so soon after such a long lay off, he wasn’t really eased back in at all. -
You know the conditions are dodgy when Bryson is playing sensible.

Meronk who is usually one of the most consistent players on the European Tour has had an utter nightmare the last 2 days. I wonder if it has just been an off week or if it’s a bit of rust from playing on that daft ‘growing the game’ tour.
