  1. He possibly got his recruitment so wrong because he thought he could coach any player to be much better. He should probably just stick to coaching and let somebody else do the recruitment and man management etc. I don’t think he’s cut out to be a manager.
  2. Falkirk took more points in each half of the season than Queens did in the whole thing -46 in the first half; 44 in the second. If Falkirk had lost all 18 games in 2024 (including the 2 v Queens) then Queens would have finished one point above them.
  3. If Queens win, they’d finish 6 points below Montrose. The entire season could be spun as disappointing rather than the disaster it actually was. “If only we’d won our two home games against Kelty, we’d have been in the promotion play-offs. Fine margins” kind of thing.
  4. Seems this game is a “Pay what you can”. https://www.qosfc.com/news-6378
  5. I noticed that as well but it worked if you went to the main football scores page and clicked on the games from there. You can check them out if you’ve not seen them and still want to. BBC Football
  6. Bartely has changed his catchphrase from “Judge me in May” to “Let’s draw a line under the season and move on”. So, unlike every other manager in world football, he didn’t think he should be assessed part way through a season. And now he thinks he can get away with everybody just ignoring it.
  7. Did you know that Kelty and Montrose between them have won the same number of games at Palmerston this season as Queens? The only difference between Queens home results and Edinburgh City’s is that Queens have won one game that Edinburgh lost. Coming up to a year since Queens won a home game in League 1 against anybody not called Edinburgh City or Annan Athletic.
  8. In case it’s obvious, and so folk can avoid this stuff if they want, I’ve stuck a summary of the points I think Queens need in the spoiler.
  9. Even if Falkirk win, Queens still might not get the job done if they lose their 2 games by an aggregate of more than 4 plus whatever Annan lose by. Obviously, Falkirk winning is the best outcome for Queens but that’s not the end of it if Queens lose to Cove, Stirling beat Edinburgh and then draw with Annan. It might seem like a combination of results that is extremely unlikely but I’m sure Queens could do their bit to make it happen.
