Well, that was really lovely to be back. The game was fine, we passed the ball well and kept cowden at arms length but it was great to see a lot of people and say hello to folk that I haven’t seen for a long time. Definitely more than 700 odd folk there, too.

I always think we really miss a trick with the away strip by making it really safe. Partick Thistle have nailed it a few times by just making their away strip a completely off the wall effort. I’d be far more likely to buy something that was gold with purple and pink trim with a rainbow on the sleeve and a kaleidoscope design on the back than a safe white and blue effort that’s basically a reverse of the home strip. For me, we need to make the away strip something that grabs people’s imagination, and accept that it’ll divide opinion. But what do I know? f**k all.

I agree with a lot of this, to be honest. If you were willing to renew at £270 but unwilling to renew at £300 then I’m questioning your value of money. You’d spend more than £30 going to see a film with your partner. It’s not for anyone to say what you can and can’t spend your money on, but don’t moan that we aren’t signing top players when you won’t part with 10% more money. It’s moaning for moaning’s sake.
