It beggars belief that the SPL should be shaping the future of Scottish football according to Stuart Cosgrove on Radio Scotland. He also quoted Turnbull Hutton's opinion that the SPL is a dead parrot.

Except that it wouldn't be abdicating responsibility. The SFL have nothing to vote on currently as there is no vacancy. The vacancy will only arise in the event that the SPL chairmen grow some balls and finally hold a vote.

From what I've heard it was that spell that killed them. When the money disappeared there was nowhere for Tarff to go. I'm glad that I saw them playing in a Scottish Cup tie at Ballgreen before their demise, although they lost 4-1 against Montrose. That was only about 4 or 5 years ago.
