Try Paris, Geneva etc. then train to Stuttgart.

Munich return £300 on Saturday 22nd then train over Sunday....

Try Brussels. Plenty cheap flights to there then get train down to Stuttgart.

Advice appreciated. If I can possibly avoid fannying about with internal rail journeys I'd prefer that but I presume they are outstandingly good? I used the Swiss rail during Euro 2008 which briefly went through Germany and it was excellent.

I'd be thinking about interail passes. I bet your lad's a bit excited!

He's ecstatic going by texts over lunch. He'll be in class now so he's gone quiet.

There is some method to the madness, although its mostly luck based on whether you get in early or not.

I had phone tab, 3 browsers on my laptop, 3 browsers on my computer. 7 in total and 1 came in fairly early, the rest took a lot longer. If you're sitting with just 1 tab open you've got basically no chance.

If you can't work from home in front of a computer you're fucked, which doesn't seem right.

Appreciate the point you're making but I sat with just one tab open for just under 2 hours and got two tickets for Hungary. You're right though. It's clearly random so the more options you have the better your chances.

I got through just before 12, no Scotland tickets left then

I bought two tickets for the Hungary game at 11:58.

Yes to all, but no rush, apart from flights and accommodation.

Feck me flights to Germany in June are expensive for some reason eh? Going to have to get more creative. I'm looking at £1,300+ for flights here.

It's worth staying in there and refreshing till they kick you out.

Yeah, I actually restarted the queue in case I could get anything for the Germany game, albeit it's now changed status to no tickets available anyway. I haven't actually closed the portal window though. It's still sitting at about 10%. I assume it will be at least two hours before it gets back in. Expecting nothing though.

  6. Could some helpful individual give me a rundown on what I need to do next?

Presumably I need some UEFA app to actually get the tickets on the same way the Hampden one works? And me and the boy will potentially both need it and I can transfer a ticket to him at some point? He's 14 if that makes a difference as to whether he can have it.

Need to go source flights and accommodation now..............

Got in about 15 minutes ago, Germany and Switzerland sold out, Hungary still has €400 prime seats available.

It's random. you can go in and out and get different offers. As a result of which................................ I've just got 2 Cat 2 tickets for Hungary!!! Ya fecking beauty. It wouldn't let me back in to try Germany once I'd secured them though and Switzerland was absolutely sold out and not even on the list. But I'll settle for that. 😀

This advice is too late now but when I got lucky in the last resale I went on exactly at the start of the sale. Quite a few people seem to have had that or a similar experience. This time I thought I'd follow the advice and get on early, I clicked on at 1015 and so far my progress bar is only about quarter along. Might just be coincidence, or maybe going early is a disadvantage.

Well @Spain is saying he was in over an hour early and he raced through it (with no success). I was in just after 10am and am 2 mins from getting in now........

Really looks like it's just random.

It's been updating for the R16 matches I'm watching. I'm sure it's still really inaccurate, but it has updated in the past few minutes.

Fair enough. I've only really been looking at the Scotland games and the lack of changes to grey in the first few group matches has caught my eye.

I got in a while ago, but there's only Hungary tickets available (which I already have). The rest of them are done.

None at all? Or none at a reasonable price? Post just above yours implies Cat 1 available for Swiss game still.

    2 minutes ago, PSJ.84 said:

Yeah, been monitoring it. It clearly isn't up to date given what others are saying. It updated just after the sale started but hasn't changed since.

Point I was making though was it doesn't matter if 500,000 are in the queue is 499,950 of them aren't interested int he Scotland games. Appreciate that won't be the case but the bare number of people queuing doesn't really tell you anything.

  11. My timer's not jumped one second since I got in the waiting room. Still on 39 mins. This is very frustrating when we were all in the wait room about the same time.

I need two tickets together or no use to me. Of the three games I'd ideally like them all but I think Hungary most so still some vague hope.

"Currently we have more than 500'000 fans queuing for tickets."

Guess it only really matters how many are Scottish, Hungarian or Swiss (I'm assuming no chance for Germany game)

I'm about 35% along this damned green bar and still no timer. That's nearly 40 mins in.

Timer finally appeared. 57 mins. FFS 😂

Youll be able to afford the touts prices then because getting round the captcha once it displayed was something a computer running windows Millennium could figure out.

I'll not be buying any tout tickets. Official UEFA tickets before I travel or book anything or I'll sit in my house and watch it. 😆

My bar seems to be moving quite quickly but still maybe only about 25% of the way. Not expecting anything to be left.

    😡

Mine's crawling like it's been on a weekend long bender and lost the power of its legs.

I'd actually forgotten all about this today but I had a bit of windfall income yesterday so it's worth a wee look. Budgets gone up for potential purchases!

Capcha thing finally worked, now in a queue but given the delays I have zero expectations

I've been in the waiting room for 10 minutes. I'd say it's moved to about 5% along (not that it's actually displaying any percentages or waiting times).

  17. Just constant "Technical Errors" and on the odd occasion that doesn't come up usually a "503 Unavailable" when you try to view the Captcha. Or a "Service Error" message.

The one time I managed to view a Captch photo and then entered the correct numbers the screen did nothing when I pressed submit for a minute or two then came up with a Technical Error message again.

    Usual farce.
